About the adventure
💀_____________Decent into Avernus______________💀 You will play as brave heroes that must travel into the depths of hell to save the city of Baldur's gate. To do this you must either redeem or slay the archdevil Zariel 🪽____________________Story_____________________🪽 After the sudden fiery disappearance of the city of Elturel hundreds of refugees from Elturgard flock to the neighboring dangerous Balder's Gate a city with it's own troubles as always. Little do the Balderaian's know their home might face the same fate as the holy city as the devils below plot and scheme. 🏳️🌈____________________Inclusive__________________ 🏳️🌈 I try and create a friendly space where all are welcome in both my Discord and in my games themselves. Racism, Homophobia, Transphobia and other forms of bigotry will not be tolerated. 😈________________Bleak but Joyful_______________ 😈 This is a dark campaign with lots of hard choices and some of them will make your characters corrupt their morals but it works best when playing characters seeking to do good. 🦇 Khello Strangers!🦇 Joji Hastur here, an experienced GM from far off land of Australia. I've been telling stories with others for over a decade and I hope to have the privilege to tell some stories with you. As a Queer, Neurodivergent, Transgirl I like to think I make a very welcoming space to all types of folk. I have lots of experience with new players and am able to balance a game for all types, Be it combat or role-play my games will be able to scratch that itch. I am big fan of cosmic, body and gothic horror and I am known for my, many, many spooky voices. I cut through all that terror with just as much silly as I believe in balance in all things. I've practically lived in the Mists of Barovia for the last free years but I alot of my experience is in my own homebreworlds. Want to fight demons in muddy WW1 trenches, escape a Fairy run prison in the faywild or hunt dinosaurs in a cyberpunk city, I am your girl! Creating your character
We will be making characters together on the platform using the charactermancer. We will be starting at Level 3 and while you can do standard array you are most welcome to roll for stats. I also have most of the subclass/race options in Roll20 so go wild!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a Discord and Roll 20 Account to play this game. Roll 20 is a browser based virtual game-board that most computers can run easily. Using either your phone and earbuds or a fully mic and headphones setup you will need the ability to do voice chat. A consistent internet connection and fairly quiet living space is also a must. Together during Session 0 or 1-on-1 before the 1st Session starts I like to do a test with the dynamic lighting and give you a chance to familiarize yourself with Roll-20.
What Joji brings to the table
I have a Pro account with Roll20 so all of the lighting and character options you could ask for. I have the module on Roll20 so there is a wealth of handouts and customs maps all ready to go. I also like to keep the in game player journal nice and neat so you can search info about the various NPC's the party has met in your own time.

Drinking a potion as a bonus action, open to homebrew content, Grim Hollow monstrous transformations.

How Joji creates a safe table
I like to have a one one one chats about themes you want to avoid and what spooks you want to explore. I have a detailed safety tools document in my discord for those who wish to peruse it. While I like to include in the horror aspects of the Campaign I do try to keep it light and fun as possible. But yeah their is a lot of dead kids in this adventure!
