About the adventure

About me
Hey y'all! Take a seat and buckle in for the story of a lifetime! I go by Daniel, and I am a professional GM. I am excited to meet you, and hopefully I'll get to craft a jaw-dropping story for you as a collaborator at one of my tables. I have been telling stories through TTRPGs for about 10 years, and almost all of that has been behind a screen as a GM. I started playing at the tail end of college and quickly developed a passion for the types of storytelling involved. I fell in love with the themes, systems, and stories of TTRPGs, honed my craft, and have never looked back. Over the last two years, I have ventured into the world of being a professional GM. My craft has excelled, and I've been able to support my lovely family while becoming an expert in emergent storytelling, improvisation, and crafting challenges that raise stories to new and incredible levels. I’ve been married for several years to my beautiful wife, and together we have two young girls who fill our lives with joy and vibrance. I'm extremely lucky to be doing this, and I aim in all that I do, and especially in this powerful form of storytelling, to bring the same vibrance and joy. What GM DANIEL brings to the table
I provide D&D Beyond content for character creation, AboveVTT for maps and gameplay, and Discord for voice and video chat. To enhance immersion, I use character voices and ambient music. I generally follow rules as written (RAW) but am open to justified exceptions that enhance the game. I bring years of knowledge in storytelling, group play, and customer service. Expect a fun and professional environment that comes with care and focus.
Homebrew rules
Travel and meet new friends as you deliver an ancient artifact to its final resting place. Be on guard as danger lurks around each corner and many ne'er-do-wells seek to put their hands on this piece of magical power. Brave the elements, travel across distant lands, and meet new and interesting people. Be the hero we know you can be. This three-session mini campaign will take you through character creation and take some time to really let the rules and atmosphere of the game sink in. Are you ready?

How GM DANIEL creates a safe table
This game will explore many subjects related to war-based trauma and violence. While it will not include real-world religions, it will touch on themes of religion and cults. Topics That Will Not Be Included In Game: ❌ Non-consensual content of any kind. No mentions or associations with it will be made in the game. ❌ Torture will not be played out in-game. While some themes of psychological or spiritual torment may be present, there will be no scenes or direct references to such events. Veiled Subjects: ⚠️ Violence toward children ⚠️ Cruelty toward animals All other lines and veils will be established during Session 0. We will also use Stars and Wishes to celebrate moments in the game and provide guidance at the end of each session. At any time, if a player feels uncomfortable, they are welcome to step back from the game or use an X or N in chat to indicate that they would like the scene to stop or take a different direction. This game is meant to be a welcoming and inclusive space for all players. Any form of sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, or other discriminatory behavior will not be tolerated. Everyone at the table deserves respect, both in and out of character.
