How to prepare

We'll be using Discord and Roll 20 for sessions. Mics and solid internet connection required. Webcams are nice, but not a necessity. Discord will be used for messaging and planning outside of sessions.

What I provide

I am very much a theater of the mind style storyteller. We will discuss how firmly we wish to stick to the rules and style of play during our sessions 0. Some groups fully embrace "Rules as Written" while others are all about "Rule of Cool". Most are somewhere in between and I want to customize that level with the group. Roll 20 is a resource I heavily use for character sheet management and dice rolls. That way we all experience the same roll bias. There are many virtual tabletops today, but Roll 20 is the devil I know the best. As such, it is the one I prefer use. Link to my Discord channel will be sent before the first session 0. There you will find game and character resource tools and pdf's necessary for play.

Gameplay details

There will be links to a campaign Lines & Veils doc in the Discord. X, N, and O's are digital in the chat. I try to break after the first 90 minutes of play. I very much believe in aftercare and winding down. I stay 20-60 minutes post session to aid in such endeavors, also doing stars and wishes. I also try to make sure I am available 30 minutes before session to aid with any mechanics or settings questions/concerns

How will character creation work

I strongly encourage review of the character creation rules before the first session zero, but do not require it. I know some folks prefer to fill perceived party "gaps" and want to facilitate everyone pursuing their joy, but have the experience to run an all guardsman party if that is what folks desire. The second session 0 will focus on character creation, background, and ties.
