About the adventure

Welcome to Strixhaven. Where Magic is the Curriculum & Chaos is Extra Credit! Your journey begins at Strixhaven University, the most prestigious magical institution in the multiverse. Here, students from all walks of life come to master the arcane, unravel the mysteries of magic, and maybe even pass their exams. But not all lessons are learned in the classroom. As you navigate rivalries, secret societies, and strange happenings on campus, an unseen force stirs in the shadows. What begins as harmless pranks and academic competition soon escalates into something far more dangerous. Will you rise to the challenge, uncover the truth, and protect Strixhaven from impending peril? Or will you become just another name in the university’s long history? A Unique, Roleplay-Heavy D&D Adventure (Levels 1-10) - Live the ultimate magical school experience – study spells, join clubs, and forge friendships (or rivalries!) - Uncover hidden dangers – Strixhaven may be prestigious, but it hides secrets even the professors fear - Engaging social & academic challenges – exams, duels, and magical mayhem await! - Perfect for roleplay lovers & fans of mystery – every decision shapes your student’s fate 🔥 Bonus for Dedicated Students! Play 5+ sessions and leave a review, and you’ll receive free illustrated character art to use for tokens or even print at home! Welcome to Strixhaven, study hard, make friends, and try not to blow up the library!

Game style

Rule of Cool (RoC)

“Rule of Cool” emphasizes creative story beats over sticking to a system’s rules as written. Players have the ability to push the limits of the rules or even break core rule mechanics at times if the Game Master thinks it is interesting, fun, or cool enough.

Roleplay Heavy

“Roleplay Heavy” games place the focus on the story, the characters, and the world they live within, and tend to lean hard into the various roleplaying elements of the game. These games will frequently find the party talking with NPCs, exploring the personal elements of their backstories, or even having emotional moments around the camp fire.

Sofia is a great storyteller. She really helped set the mood for the first one-shot I joined. The game moved along quickly while allowing for fun character interaction. I look forward to joining one of Sofia's games again in the future.

Wonderful DM who has been running multiple games that I have joined in this last year. Every game has been a fantastic experience, from homebrews to adventure books. Would highly recommend anyone to join a game run by Sofia and I certainly will be joining as many games that she runs as I can. It's a shame I can only pick 3 descriptions as many more are applicable. Good for beginners, inclusive and safe, visual aids, world building and so on.

absolutely amazing dm. Fun, inclusive. She focuses on having a good time, and rule of cool is always on the table! Shes very good at creating fun worlds, and tying your characters backstory into the main story. She welcomes creativity, and she always seems so excited when you present her with an idea! Very good at creating memorable npcs. Beginner friendly and good at supporting new or nervous players. Neurodivergant friendly

How to prepare

Just bring yourself, whilst I prefer players to have their webcam on i understand if you don't have one or don't feel comfortable, so all I ask is if you can make sure you have a mic and headphones so others aren't affected by sound. And it's always handy to have a notebook and pen. If you have your own dice you can use them too!

What I provide

I bring my digital collection of books on DnDbeyond, a collection of amazing (possibly bad) voices, and some ambient music. Rule of cool is always on the table!

Gameplay details

Your comfort and enjoyment are my top priorities. Here’s how I ensure a safe and inclusive gaming experience: 1. Pre-Game Questionnaires so I can get to know your boundaries. 2. Session 0, for game and table rules. 3. In-Game Tools, such as X, N, and O cards to ensure a smooth and safe experience. These tools let you: X-Card: Stop or skip content you find uncomfortable. N-Card: Pause to discuss or adjust a situation. O-Card: Indicate everything’s great and keep going. You can send me a message on Discord for privacy. These tools are here to make sure everyone feels welcome and empowered to enjoy the adventure. Let’s have fun and take care of each other along the way! 💛
