About the adventure

Long ago, a war between the material and feywild planes caused swaths of destruction across the lands. When it ended, as a peace initiative, magical taverns were built and connected using ley-lines, and they were dutifully tended by a mysterious tiefling named The Seeker. This steady peace has lasted for decades and the taverns have flourished under the watchful eyes of The Seeker. But now, they're gone, and not for just a day or two of travel, nobody in any of the taverns has seen them, and that was over a month ago. Without them to keep the ley-lines in balance and to protect the taverns, mishaps both magical and material have begun to mount. This campaign will be using taverns featured in the homebrew supplement sharing the title. The party will get to travel to over 10 unique taverns and world settings, each with side quests and special features that could turn into hilarious chaos or suspenseful uncertainty. Will you find The Seeker and set the ley-lines right again? Or is the allure of chaos too tempting to stop?

About me

27y.o. Creative writer from Athens GA. I got into tabletop and DnD right before starting college, then took off during my college years in the local RPG club. After graduation in 2020 and the everything that happened, having my crew of ttrpg buddies and baddies to go after kept me sane. Now I want to extend that magic to others also looking for a bit of creative release in a hectic world. I've played mostly DnD 5e and am gradually adjusting to the recent updates in 5.5, and also have some experience with the Lancer rpg system.

Character creation

Creating your character

Players will be starting at level 3, and while we will have session 0 for character creation, those who are wanting to remake a character or who already have one ready to play can use them! If using any homebrew content, it must be from a published source.

The current party

Free session 0. If you enjoy magic hijinks and a variety cast where every new place is a new world, this campaign is for you. I've created for you a subtle mystery under a comedic sit-com of side quest grinding, so for those who love watching xp numbers go up and getting to level up at a steady, predictable pace, you will enjoy my game.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

At least a discord account needed for communication and organization and a decent mic, camera optional.

What Deja Gonsalves brings to the table

This campaign will be using a combo of discord for voice chat and organization and Beyond Tabletop for vtt play, occasionally I'll be using google images or docs for supplementary needs as they arrive. I leave a lot of room for roleplay, but don't skimp on combat either, especially during travel. I plan grand arcs and webs of villainous networks for my players to unravel or tie knots in as they see fit. I'm also very easy to amuse, so expect good jokes and meme chats in the discord aplenty. I value an organized 'home base' for campaigns, you can expect a book keeping tab, a dice rolling tab, and an index of npcs/locations to name a few tools in my belt.

Safety

How Deja Gonsalves creates a safe table

Session 0 will better detail the contents of the game, as well as set up lines and veils for the party. For the most part this campaign is not about dark fantasy or gritty fights for survival, but a curious mystery about a wayward tiefling and the stories behind your characters, so expect little in the way of unfathomable horrors. (unless you're into that)
