About me

Experienced fantasy/comedy writer and GM helping others get into tabletop. My experience as a writer, along with studies on plot and character development and stage experience as an actor and singer, are all put here in service of telling you a story that's memorable and creating a world where you'll be the protagonist. All of my experience and knowledge is at your disposal, and new players will receive guidance not only on how to create characters, but how to better develop them into full, believable people I specialize in bringing out the funny, the quirky, and the odd in campaigns. Reacting to players' actions isn't only a part of the job for me, but my favorite part of it - creating situations and shaping the storyline between the players and the GM is the heart of tabletop roleplaying. If you're laughing or surprised, I've done my work. If you can come out of my table having learned the rules of the game and becoming a fine roleplayer, I've done my work. All my games are LGBTQ+ friendly, and my tables are safe spaces where people from all walks of life are welcome.

The game was fun and role playing heavy. Tizzy was welcoming and explained all the mechanics without slowing the story down. Tizzy incorporated our crazy ideas and made it a light hearted time.

Tizzy did a wonderful job introducing new players to Call of Cthulu. Had a great atmosphere, with visuals, handouts, and awesome background music. Tizzy provided all of us with pregens and we were quickly able to jump into the story. They do an awesome job with improvising characters, scenes and interesting stuff to do. If you're looking for a Call of Cthulu game or DnD game, I would really recommend Tizzy for the inclusive experience, lovely atmosphere, and fun times of their games!

I started playing DnD with Tizzy back in October 2022 and it is now January 2024. What all can I say? Tizzy was the first person to reach out to me when I was looking for a group to join. I had no experience or idea what I was doing; or even what to expect. After a year and a half now I have become alot more comfortable with not only DnD itself, but role playing and myself. Tizzy here is an amazing DM. Not only does he have alot of knowledge of DnD and everything it encompasses (rules, spells, mechanics, classes, items, ect), his tables are an area where everyone is heard. That's alot of words to say, that I enjoy the group that I'm in and that's why I continue to return. Happy gaming everyone!

I've been playing in one of Tizzy's campaigns for half a year now, and I would absolutely recommend him. He encourages you to bring out the roleplay and develop your characters, and he will provide opportunities specifically for this. Combat is balanced and challenging, too, so there's something for all. He will work your character quirks into the game if they're fun. Running jokes and puns are encouraged. Games have a good balance of seriousness and silliness and are always fun. The VTT he uses (FG) has a learning curve, but he's patient and accommodating to players new to it and/or to the game itself. Audio and visuals are plentiful. Feedback is encouraged and actively solicited each session. Table safety is paramount. Tables are LGBTQ- and neurospicy-inclusive. Toxic players and behavior are addressed and even booted if needed. He's not perfect - no one is - but if one of his games piques your interest, he's worth taking a flier on.

Character creation
Creating your character

For this adventure, a list of pre-made characters will be offered. Players need just join the Fantasy Grounds campaign, select the character they'd prefer, and they'll be ready to go.

The current party

We'll be running with pre-made characters, so all you need to do is come over and have a free D&D beyond account to participate!

What to expect
Preparing for the session

As a player, you need only have three simple things for this. 1. Fantasy Grounds Unity running on your Windows/Mac/Linux computer. You can download the free version from here: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/store/ . Purchase of the Standard version is not only not necessary but discouraged - you'll gain nothing from it, as my Ultimate license already covers it. 2. Discord running on your or mobile device, whichever you choose. You can get it from here: https://discord.com/ or from your phone's own app store. Please make sure you're able to participate in voice chat (both listen to and speak,) as it is instrumental for the adventures. You'll need to join my Discord server. The address will be given on signup. 3. A desire to play or learn to play the world's largest roleplaying game. Previous experience doesn't matter, I've got you. Together we can sure turn you into one fine roleplayer.

What Tizzy brings to the table

My knowledge of TTRPGs (D&D in this case,) a Discord server where we'll host the game, an Ultimate license of Fantasy Grounds, and the content/sourcebooks on Fantasy Grounds. I also bring a desire to help others get into D&D and guide them along the way of learning to deal with character creation and development.

Safety
How Tizzy creates a safe table

This adventure is meant to be bite-sized, and should be done in about three hours of playtime. Pre-made characters will be provided to speed up the beginning. Even when adventures are one-shots, roleplaying is encouraged. Both roleplaying and combat are important parts in Dungeons & Dragons campaigns, and it is my goal to teach you how to do both, all the while also teaching you how to use Fantasy Grounds. ------------------------- Safety Information ------------------------- We'll host a conversation at the start of each session to better avoid any possible triggering situations. Tables are operated under strict no-harassment, no-racism, no-LGBTQ+phobia policies and are meant to be a safe space for all. To help players deal with potential stress resulting from in-game situations, sessions can be stopped at any moment if a player feels triggered, even if the situation creating it wasn't one discussed before and thus not one of the previously agreed-on lines or veils. It is my duty to offer you the safest experience I can, and I'll hold myself to it.
