London by Night | Midnight Overdrive
Vampire: The Masquerade 5th Edition | Campaign
About the adventure
"I know what you did." Those words echo in your mind as you cross the rain-soaked grounds of Bentley Priory. The letter arrived without warning, the envelope inconspicuous and plain, with just a slight whiff of sandalwood. "I know what you did" written in neat cursive, followed by an address and time. No explanation. No signature. The sky churns with low-hanging clouds, the drizzle tapping steadily against the leaves and your shoulders, muffling the night. Ahead, the old mansion rises, its hulking frame almost swallowed by the gloom. Only one window cuts through the darkness—a dim, flickering light burning feebly, as though it too is struggling to stay alive. Your footsteps squelch in the mud as you approach, but it's not the cold or the wet that makes your skin prickle—it's the feeling of being watched. Her eyes are dark, sharp, and unblinking, locked onto you as though she’s been waiting for this moment. Her lips curl into a slow, deliberate smile; a smile that carries more weight than any words, as if she already knows how this night will end. With a snap of her wrist, she beckons you forward. --- Welcome to Vampire the Masquerade: London by Night! Set in 2024, years after the events of Fall of London, Hafsa has resurfaced, equipped with ample blackmail material concerning your character. As she lays out her ambitious plans to claim praxis of London, she demands you play your part and gather support of the Landlords on her behalf. Will you rise to the challenge and fulfil your role, or will you falter and become a mere footnote in history? Chronicle Stipulations: - We will play the first chapter of the story, which may last anywhere between 5-15 sessions, after which we will take a short break to review. If everyone is happy, we shall continue playing the next chapter. - This chronicle will focus on street-level and personal horror with a sprinkle of political intrigue. - The characters know each other prior to the beginning of the Chronicle and a relationship map will be a part of character creation. - Character backgrounds will feature heavily in the stories, and the chronicle will be character-driven. - All players start with a two-dot Dark Secret. - The Coterie starts with a three-dot Mawla (Hafsa) and Secret-Master Flaw. Beginners are very welcome and encouraged to apply. Let's jump into the World of Darkness together!
Game style
Theater of the Mind
“Theater of the Mind” uses little to no visuals for scene settings and combat. Instead, the narrative imagery comes from the Game Master’s descriptions and character action and movement comes from Players’ descriptions.
Session 0 is free; after all, you should know a little about me and my style before you commit.

They got me and the other player into a vampire the masquerade ttrpg. I was new to it as were others and the dm was very helpful in teaching us the ropes, helping us create characters and giving pointers on what would work best for the type of character we had in mind. The dm was great with the of visuals and voices. Going from scene to scene there was attention to detail and we never felt like we have no options left on what to do next. The ending was a great, giving the players a lot to think about. Each player got to choose their own ending if you will and none of them were lesser than the other. All in all, it's very apparent the DM put a lot of effort and time into prepping the sessions to let the players truly experience both the system and the story being told!
Tribble works well to tell a story that is original and has a deeper identity. You can trurly immerse yourself in her DMing, as she puts the required detail into scenes. Some scenes are so hot I have an issue letting others take over, as I want to be the main character to find out what's going on in a lot of her murder mysterious! Their comfort potraying different characters could be even more pushed to tailor to one's story and take it further, as they are open to a lot of different roleplaying elements.

Gameplay details
I take great care to provide a safe environment for all players, and everyone at the table is required to respect each other's boundaries. Lines & Veils will be discussed prior to Session 0 with players individually, and a final version of Lines & Veils will be presented during Session 0 and updated if a need arises during gameplay. Having said that, I am an adult, and I run games for adults - I firmly believe any topic can be explored with maturity and sensitivity at the right table. Please make sure you are comfortable with that before applying.

How will character creation work
Character creation will be discussed during Session 0. I will be providing all the material you need. I prefer to discuss character as a group as it encourages group cohesion, but - as this is a VtM game, some secrets are to be expected. I am fully prepared to hold your hand during the whole process and prior knowledge of the system and/or lore is not necessary :)
