The Sentinel and the Gauntlet | Low Level Campaign | Beginner Friendly
About the adventure
The village of Kusnir is being terrorized by a creature that has been driven mad. As the characters search to discover the root of the problem, they find themselves in an ancient struggle between two artifacts. Explore the Duchy of Berghof in the lands of Greyhawk. Wield the power of the Sentinel in its quest to protect Berghof. Destroy the Gauntlet, before other powers bring its might to bear against the Duchy. The campaign is based on the old school modules The Sentinel UK2 and The Gauntlet UK3. The adventures and the surrounding area have been converted and expanded upon for D&D5E play. Characters are likely to level from 2nd to 5th during the campaign.
Meet the Game Master
About me
Hi I'm Jeremy, I love playing games and telling stories. That makes roleplaying games perfect for me. I have been playing D&D since 1984. Almost all of that time I have been a Dungeon Master. I do a good job of moving the spotlight around the table to give every player/character a chance to shine. I have experience in a lot of different roleplaying games and I would love the chance to share all of my experience with you. EVERYONE is welcome at my table. If you'd like to learn more about me you can checkout the Old Men Rolling Dice Podcast or you can even watch me DM a game on Twitch. twitch.tv/dm_jeremy

Proficiencies
Players say this GM is great at:
Storytelling
Creativity
Teacher
Jeremy is great at describing the environment, the theatre of the mind is playing in every room and encounter. It gets even better when there are maps and tokens! The games are paced well, enough challenge to keep it interesting but not developing a sense of hopeless terror! Looking forward to many more sessions.
Character creation
Creating your character
Players are asked to create a 2nd level characters for the campaign. Pre-generated characters are also available to choose from. Character stats will be built using the standard array method of 15, 14, 13, 12, 10 and 8. A discord channel will be available for Q&A prior to session 1.
New players are welcome.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Microphones are a must and webcams are preferred, but not required. All voice and video will be handled via the Discord app. You will need a Roll20 account, but you are welcome to roll real dice and/or use pen and paper to track your character. If DnDBeyond is your preference that is also acceptable. Players are welcome to create their own characters or use a pre-generated character.

As a dungeon master I bring my experience. I have been DMing for more than 35 years. I have a Roll20 Pro subscription, giving full compendium access to my players. This means you'll have access to all of my sourcebook purchases at any time through Roll20.
Platforms used
Safety
How DM Jeremy creates a safe table
As your DM/GM I use an Open Door policy. All players may take a break from the game at any point for their safety and well being. Also, any player may voice their discomfort with a scene or theme at anytime without judgement. We will restructure and refocus and then the game can continue again safely and comfortably. We will build in a break to decompress and refresh. At the end of the session we will do a check-in and make sure everyone is ok and highlight things we enjoyed.
