The heroes have killed Lennithon the blue dragon and thus broken the siege of Greenest. The besieging army is in disarray and retreating. But whose army? A army of Bandits, Mercenaries, Kobolds all led by Dragon Cultists. And who is in control. A half dragon. A cleric wearing purple? A warrior in red? Or the mysterious individual who rode Lennithon but was nowhere to be found after three battle… Join the heroes in the active pursuit of the retreating army. Play in the first adventure written for 5e! It's a great adventure that I've supplemented with a lot more detail...so if you've played it before, play it again and see what you think! If you're new to D&D, jump in! It's a fantastic adventure to learn how to play the game. I'm running this as written but with supplemental materials for an adventure from 1st to 7th level. Most of the groups I've run it for continue on to play the sequel...or if you've seen the rewrite, It's called Tyranny of Dragons. One note of warning: the player group has opted for a faster session than some people prefer: thus, the sessions are two hours and usually action oriented; though our recent session was RP heavy for the player development and their relationship with the Town of Greenest. There is between session interactions to develop the story in the style of PBP when the players opt for such.

How to prepare
The Theater of the Mind (audio portion of the adventure) will occur on Discord supplemented by images and battle maps as needed. You will need an account on Discord. Access to the dedicated server will be open prior to the game. Owlbear Rodeo may be used. No subscription is necessary. Some players also enjoy the background music and effects of Syrinscape. A free account is now required for you to log into the site. Once you have the free account, a pregame link will provide you the immersive sounds. While fun, the music and sounds are not required. Characters will be made or provided on D&DBeyond. Pre-made characters are always available. Players will make characters during session zero; or, we can make one prior to the game session. A pre-made character can be provided.
What I provide
I am bringing decades of games experience, a robust community, in depth characterisation and the flexibility to adapt to player styles and choices. I will provide free access to a starter set of rules and guide you through character creation on D&DBeyond. I will supplement the narrative with images and maps on the Discord Server. Access to Battle maps and tokens will be open on Owlbear Rodeo. No account is needed by the player.

How will character creation work
Pre-made characters are available or can also be made with me on Discord (scheduled live session or via message) using D&DBeyond. You do not need to know anything about character creation, how the game works, or anything about the game. We can cover all of this together. I will send you an invite to the campaign on D&D Beyond and Discord.
