Rime of the Frostmaiden: Trapped Under Ice [Level 7]

10 out of 10 - would hug a cyclops to teach him what love is again I have nothing but good things to say about Israel - he's an absolute rockstar of a DM! He's everything I want a DM to be: - fun + entertaining (always my top priority) - this is why we play, right?! - extremely knowledgeable about the lore + rules - if you have a question he's got the answer - balanced + flexible + challenging - every encounter (combat or otherwise) will have you wondering what will come next Every time I play in one of his games I know I'm in for a thoroughly enjoyable night of being the best murderhobo I can be! If you're looking for someone who can do it all, Iz is the DM for you! (Well, unless you're looking to TPK my bard's party in which case you should look elsewhere).

I heavily recommend Iz if you are a beginner wanting to start out as he's very inclusive and makes everything feel comfortable at the table. Experienced or not, you WILL have fun at his table and he always tries to include you through it while also managing to know the rules clearly and clarifies without missing a beat. Our characters blossom every session and even when things are slow or more centered on other characters in one session you will get your time to shine. Iz knows his stuff and will always keep pace with us or even just move the pace along if things are slowing. I can definitely recommend him if you are also neurodivergent and want a place at the table without judgement and even a helping hand feeling overwhelmed at the rules. He's always patient and kind to the learning process involved in it! His DMing is very immersive despite having some theater of the mind elements to them but enough to feel engaged. It's like a good mix of visual and imaginary right in the middle! The combat is fun and never feels overbearing, and can be a fun challenge every so often to overcome! There is a fair balance of RP and Combat and some more over the other in certain sessions but it always balances itself out. I do like my table with him that has this element! All in all, it's been an extreme pleasure to be at the table as long as I have been and I will continue to as long as I am able!

An experienced and knowledgeable DM. Very creative and takes prep seriously, has even written short backgrounds for every basic goblin, which allowed my party to resolve the situation through roleplay, rather than straight fighting. We've even taken it so far that our party has created an alliance with all the local greenskins, whom we can call upon in the future should the need arise. Infuses NPCs with unique personalities resulting in memorable encounters every time. Fairly loose with the rules to allow for creativity, but will put you through your paces should you attempt an unconventional approach to a situation.

FANTASTIC DM, great adventure creator

Being a new player in the game, Iz is always very receptive to newcomers like myself! Being my first game I genuinely recommend him for your games! He's always there to help you out and even give you suggestions if you are stuck but also the pacing of him leading us through adventures are so fun. Along with the group that we have and the chemistry between all of us, it is such a fun game to play and look forward to after a long week of work! I HIGHLY recommend him if you ever want to start up DND and try it for yourself! You won't be disappointed. :) Genuinely he wants to make sure his players are having fun and wants to hear your feedback to try to make things more fun for you! Overall, I've had such a blast playing with him and even was quite nervous joining a already established game but he made it seamless to help my character blend right in. I look forward to many more adventures ahead! Thank you so much Iz! :)

Iz(the GM) always does an amazing job. His voice acting is wonderful! He is fair, fun, and easy to play with. You won't be disappointed if you give one of his his tables a go. We are currently a level 7 full table running The Mad Mage. Good times.
