I had a great time in her one-shot mystery. The story was creative and the compelling. As usual, the Saga server also pulls in some great folks as players from all over. Met a lot of new folks who worked almost too well together with some funny roleplay, BUT Carol did a great job keeping us in the moment and not letting our RP get too far out of hand and derail the game. I'm sure I will be playing again with soon.
I have been playing in a year long campaign with Ghost. Super fun! The other folks were already regular players of Ghost's so I took that as a good sign at the beginning and was not disappointed. Besides the actual weekly session, he is very engaged as is the rest of the group in Discord text RP to help all of us flesh out our characters properly. It's made a big difference in how well our characters have gotten to know each other in game as well as the players "above the table". Stories and situations are innovative and creative. Good maps too.
Found GM Rob via one-shot earlier in the year for a Learn to Play Daggerheart and stuck around after I saw how a fun Discord community. Currently playing a campaign and enjoying the world he is building. All of his campaigns take place in a world called Taeval but is the backdrop for multiple games using varying systems. I think its an interesting concept and I personally love world building. He himself is very easy going and with a strong desire to tell a story with you. Another thing I really like is most people are on camera. I didn't think this would be such a big deal but its important to me now. It really helps to see the others when doing roleplay. He is also very helpful onboarding new GMs on SP. I haven't tried this yet but I know he has helped a couple of other members in the Discord server get comfortable and start up their own profiles. Very cool.
From what I read of Dragonbane, I knew it would be tough and it has certainly been dangerous as expected. I've play a couple of one-shots so far and now playing short multi session campaign called Creeping Darkness. I am not sure how we haven't lost anyone yet after 2 sessions. Every encounter can be dangerous but Sir Beef does a great job balancing that level of danger with giving the party and individuals options to survive and help each other. Still, survival is not guaranteed and i know if someone makes a big enough mistake OR the dice just roll badly enough, he will respond as he should and make us pay :-).
Have only had the first session so far but I thought Danny did a great job and I am very excited to see where this campaign takes us. I really appreciated how he created different Discord chat channels for different ways to communicate with either him, other PCs (in roleplay), or other players. I used this after our first session to see if the other players would be willing to engage between sessions as their characters which I was happy to see they did. I'm hoping this will make Danny's job easier when knowing which direction the party is going for the next session. He has certainly been open to discussing character development and world building in direct messages which I really appreciate.
