About me
Playing since 1986 during 5th Grade recess and haven't looked back! I enjoy watching the stories grow and have many fond memories from decades of playing. For me, the journey of discovery is what makes roleplaying such a rewarding hobby!
GM Style
I love Theater of the Mind! Moving pieces on a map can be an aid, but I don't want it to be a crutch. I am 100% behind the Rule of Cool. If it sounds fun and amazing, let's do it! I like rules, all games need 'em, but years from now we will talk about that amazing thing that happened, not the rule that governed it!

Lots of GMs have 5 star reviews, and I'm sure they deserve them, but I'd give Sir Beef even more if I could. Highly descriptive with a talent for delivering sensory info in a compelling way that still keeps the pace moving, fantastic at juggling multiple players even when we were all split up, and walked a novice like myself through a new system & VTT with ease that tells of his confidence with the systems/tools he uses. Cannot recommend enough. Try one of his (many) oneshot sessions and see for yourself!
Sir Beef ran a hella fun game! I was new to the system and he was flawless in explaining the rules while playing, without slowing down the game while still making sure that I knew all that I could do at any given moment. He allowed for player's creativity, breaking the rules when necessary to give us a chance to have cool moments, while keeping a firm grip on the adventure. His npcs were humane in the right way, with quirks and flaws, and he gave us all the liberties to push the one-shot in the direction that we wanted, without ever losing a beat. All in all it was an amazing game, I absolutely recommend him for a great Dragonbane game!
From what I read of Dragonbane, I knew it would be tough and it has certainly been dangerous as expected. I've play a couple of one-shots so far and now playing short multi session campaign called Creeping Darkness. I am not sure how we haven't lost anyone yet after 2 sessions. Every encounter can be dangerous but Sir Beef does a great job balancing that level of danger with giving the party and individuals options to survive and help each other. Still, survival is not guaranteed and i know if someone makes a big enough mistake OR the dice just roll badly enough, he will respond as he should and make us pay :-).
