Ego is a great GM. He knows his stuff so any rulings you get will be quick and fair. It’s honestly impressive how well he knows the rules of PF2. Speaking as a GM myself, there are many rules in that system I always have to look up. But you can tell Ego lives and breathes this game. He also did a fantastic job of running hexploration, a system I’ve never really liked and made it into something that was super exciting for me. His combats are challenging but fair. You can’t turn off your brain in his games. He will demand you use strategy and all the tools in your belt in order to succeed and it makes every victory feel earned. While our game ultimately ended up in a TPK, Ego handled that situation with grace and tact. We all saw it coming but he pulled no punches and it felt as if we failed due to our own poor decisions not because he overtuned the encounter. I would highly recommend Ego for his Kingmaker games or really any game that has deep exploration and an intricate combat system. His worlds feel alive and he is always ready to answer any questions you may have. He makes every character and person at his table feel welcome and vital to the experience.
