About Florian the GM
Hello! I'm Florian, a Game Master based in Germany. I discovered tabletop RPGs a little later than most - around the age of 30 - but for the past 15 years, they've been a huge part of my life. Whether I'm behind the screen or rolling dice as a player, I love diving into new systems and crafting memorable stories. I got my start with Pathfinder right when 1st Edition launched, and I've been hooked ever since. While I never really played much D&D, Pathfinder 2e has become my favorite system to run these days. I also have experience running Vampire: The Masquerade and Shadowrun, and I've dabbled in many other games as a player. What I love the most about TTRPGs is the collaborative nature of it, where we all tell a story together.

How Florian the GM runs games
I enjoy and focus my games on roleplay and character-driven storytelling. I enjoy a good combat like the next guy, but if that’s all there is to a game, it gets boring for me, so I don’t let my games get bogged down in it. So even during the inevitable dungeon crawls, I will make sure there are moments for roleplay and character interactions. I don’t railroad my games, but I usually do not run pure sandboxes either. I try to find a healthy mix, where I leave players enough freedoms to explore and do what they like, but I will gently guide them back to the main story, or throw a plot hook their way if things seem to get stalled. I really like helping new players to the system or the hobby, so don’t be afraid to ask a question. I run games that are LGBTQ+ as well as ND friendly, and I try to make it a welcoming, inclusive and safe space for everyone! That means that bigotry, harassment or disrespect of any kind won’t be tolerated. Everyone deserves to feel safe and be seen at the table, and I do my best to achieve this with clear expectations and open communication as well as a variety of safety tools.

looking for a quick resolution to keep the game flowing, making a ruling on the spot and checking or discussing it after the session if needed. Rules are guidelines, but can’t cover everything, so when the choice is between them and something cinematic a player wants to try, the rules bend.

My games focus on...
getting my players invested in the game. I want you to feel with your character, hate and love the NPCs. I want you to get excited for each other and I want your choices to matter. I want everyone looking forward to the next session. I want you to have fun!

I think min/maxing...
is fine, as long as your character does personality and depth. Playing a competent or optimized Fighter is great, but they should have a compelling backstory and clear motivations as well.
My table is not the place for...
bigots and haters. We’re all here to have fun in a safe space. Some may call that „woke“ or „being a snowflake“, but if someone can’t be respectful to their fellow players, they should look elsewhere.
