About me
My name is Charles known online as DerWolf. I have been GMing for over 31 years having started game mastering back in the days of second edition D&D! Today I run a number of different systems including; Pathfinder1e & 2e, Star Trek Adventures, Fallout 2d20, Battletech RPG, All Flesh Must Be Eaten, Dungeon and Dragons (All Editions) Call of Cthulhu7th edition and many other lesser known TTRPGs. If you have a system you'd like to try, message me and let's talk about setting up a game! My main goal in all games is to focus on the players enjoying each session. This is of course the responsibility of the Game Master but also falls onto the players to make sure they are working with the game master and the other players in the interest of collaborative story telling and good ole fashioned roleplaying fun. I strive each session to help everyone feel engaged and involved in the story so that the collaboration part of, collaborative story telling, is easy! If you'd like to talk about a custom game setting or specific system don't hesitate to reach out to me! I'm happy to work with you and your friends to set up the game of your dreams! With all that said, let me put it this way... "I'm the second best game master you know..." - DerWolf Happy gaming! ... and remember, "The dice have a story to tell." 📚 Campaigns Finished on SPG- name followed by number of times ran. Nick is the type of DM/GM that makes you feel welcome and engaged in the story. His passion for storytelling is only outshined by his passion for ensuring the players at his table are engaged and feeling every high and low point, every twist and turn, and every single story beat both personally and in the overarching plot. I've had the pleasure of playing with him in several campaigns some active as I type this out, you will not regret signing up for his games, rather, be asking if he's planning to run any more that you might join!
I've had the pleasure of running games with CJ as player and GM for about two years now. He is by far one of the most energetic TTRPG hobbyists I've ever played with. His greatest asset is his ability to be flexible with the rules while still allowing for them to flee grounded and controlled. He is a master of macros for Roll20 and as a GM I've leaned on him for myself and players when it comes to working with the pathfinder community sheet. As both player and GM he is a true joy to have at the table and I would recommend him without reservation for any looking for a GM to ensure their time on SPG is not only FUN, but exciting and memorable! He'll also not only let you use 3rd party but encourage it, nothing scares him, and that scares me... :)
Boy howdy, do you like Dungeons and Dragons, but always felt you wanted a bit more crunch, maybe some more options for your character? Well, let me tell you about Pathfinder 1e. I've been running it since its release and coming from 3.0 - 3.5 D&D Pathfinder fixes most of, if not all, the issue that were present within that system while still keeping the core of the D20 system. The best part of Pathfinder 1e are the Archetype for each of the classes. Rather than just playing a fighter, you have dozens of different options for how to play a fighter so much that you could have an entire party of fighter who all feel valuable and efficient while still each feeling unique. Above and beyond the core books of the system there are countless supplements and third party material that expands the system above and beyond what was just written by Piazo. The core setting of Golarion, the Inner Sea is a robust and fascinating world that I have run dozens of their pre-written adventure paths in as well as several "Home brew" games and still feel even after 15 years I've hardly scratched what exists in the setting. You will never get bored with the system, and will spend countless hours crafting characters looking at feats, traits and builds and wishing you had more time to play them all! I am all in for Pathfinder, and you should be too!
