About Nicky Perfect
I got a copy of the original D&D Rules Cyclopedia for my 12th birthday and I've been hooked ever since. In the more than 30 years between now and then I've run and played in hundreds of games across dozens of systems, and loved them all. At heart I am a storyteller and believe than any good story should be told together. I am very excited to finally bring my decades of experience to the virtual table top environment. Having played in multiple campaigns over the past few years I've been very excited to see how technology has had such a huge and positive impact on the world of gaming. In addition to my TTRPG chops I also bring years of professional technology experience to the table and aim to create a fully immersive environment for everyone to enjoy.

When I'm not running games I'm...
Hanging out with my sidekick (my kiddo), programming up a storm, baking something tasty, reading a book, playing video games, or dreaming up my next campaign
How Nicky Perfect runs games
My Style: - Story First: I don't rule with an iron fist. I keep things fair and keep us to the rules when we need to, but I won't forget that we're here to have fun, and that we're telling a story together - Rule of Cool: Bring your imagination and do something the rules didn't anticipate. Let's get weird. - The Dice Have a Story to Tell: I don't dice under the table, you'll be able to see every roll I make right out in the open. Consequently I don't flub rolls for you either. The dice always have a story to tell, so let's see what fate has on offer. - Player Agency is Boss: I have a story I want to tell, but I can't tell it without you. I sincerely hope you'll do something I don't expect and play an active part my tales

Rules are...
more guidelines, if you think about it really.
When it comes to voices
I love to do accents, many of them badly.
Nicky Perfect's ideal table
My campaigns tend to be RP heavy - expect lots of interactions with NPCs that feel real, and have consequences. Expect lived-in worlds that have their own unique, tangible feel. Combat tends crunchy and tactically focused - expect the baddies to use the appropriate tactics, traps, feints, and dirty tricks, which you should plan in kind. Teamwork is key on both sides, and the monsters know what they're doing. Two things above all: Rule of Cool, and Player Agency. Do something unexpected, think creatively, and you will be rewarded. Usually. The dice, as always, will have their own input on the matter. Expect to take turns and share the spotlight, and that the choices you make as a player have an impact on the continuing story of the campaign. There is no railroad to ride - many adventures are linear, but that doesn't mean what you do doesn't matter, doesn't change outcomes, or that you can't go off script and find your own way. These are my personal preferences but are among the things each table will discuss as part of our Session 0. If your group prefers more of a combat focused environment or a different RP style, I am happy to accommodate. The important thing is that we all have fun. One thing I will not compromise on: don't be a munchkin. Characters can be powerful without power gaming. If meta gaming and crunching numbers to the exclusion of building a character with a story is your style, you will be not be comfortable at my table.
