The Hobbits left the shire as humble folk in a big world and came home big heroes in a humble shire. The Hero's Journey is opportunity for a deeply transformative experience with beautiful stories, eternal bonds, self-discovery and an adventure full of inspiration and purpose. Combat should be meaningful and adventures should have stakes. I appreciate tactics and strategy, but I want it to matter. I want to be part of a story more than I want to feel like I'm playing a board game. As a player I seek immersive games that allow me to create a meaningful character who is embedded into the fabric of a story alongside like-minded individuals who play with respect, kindness, and commitment to the party.
