Fey runs a really fun OSR-style game that balances solid gameplay detail with a lot of spontaneity. Everything feels well thought out and fair, but never rigid—players have plenty of room to experiment, and Fey rolls with unexpected choices in a way that keeps things exciting. The table is also very inclusive and easy to jump into, with no pressure to “play perfectly.” Overall it’s a great mix of old-school challenge and relaxed, creative play that makes every session consistently enjoyable.
Brian runs a game that feels both welcoming and high quality. He has a real talent for keeping players of all experience levels engaged. Newer players never feel lost or sidelined, while more experienced players still get meaningful decisions, roleplay opportunities, and challenges that keep things interesting. The pacing is steady, and there’s a good balance between exploration, atmosphere, and moments of tension or humor. One thing that stands out is the quality of the groups he assembles. The players he brings in are thoughtful, collaborative, and engaged, which makes the game flow smoothly and enhances the overall experience. It’s clear he puts care into maintaining a table culture where everyone contributes and respects the game's tone. If you’re looking for a campaign that feels immersive, well-run, and consistently enjoyable regardless of your experience level, Brian is a solid GM to play with.
I have had an excellent experience playing Pendragon with Jim. He approaches the game with a deep respect for the rich lore, weaving it seamlessly into each session while keeping players fully engaged. His storytelling is immersive, and he balances character-driven moments with exciting adventures, making every session feel meaningful and fun. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a GM who honors the source material and creates a memorable, engaging experience at the table.
