About me
Hi! Long time roleplayer but moved to Northern Europe and can't speak the language yet, so I thought I'd roleplay online! I'm married and owned by two cats (as seen in the profile - and will frequently be seen on camera wrapped around my shoulders), in my early 40s, and a geek of all trades. RPG-wise I'm the most familiar with D&D (2e-5e), Pathfinder (1e), and multiple homebrew systems along with less experience with several other systems. I'm generally open to playing most systems. In D&D, I'm generally known for playing higher Charisma characters (in one group I'm frequently the party leader and face... even when I really shouldn't be). I don't stick to one class, generally liking aspects of almost all of them, but my favored class is definitely Bard. In other systems, I frequently lean more on playing the brains or face of the group, frequently ending up as The Hacker or The Actor (to use Leverage terminology). I tend to prefer more combat-lite games where the stories told by both the GM and players blend together for both comedy and drama, erring more on the side of comedy, and generally prefer homebrew campaign settings. That's not to say I don't enjoy having combat or the occasional dungeon crawl, especially when it makes sense for the plot; I just don't want to jump into a campaign of nothing but combat and dungeon crawls. One thing I don't do well with is very grimdark settings; "all hope is lost" type situations can really affect my OOC mental state, so I tend to shy away from those. As long as there is at least *some* sign of hope being possible in an otherwise-crapsack world I'm probably still good. I also don't want to hear about pet death or cruelty in-game; veiling it is usually fine. For a negative trait, I have a tendency to go a bit overboard with my character backgrounds - I assume most people don't want a book for a backstory, but please let me know if you want more like a couple of sentences instead of a page!

Zoey has made an incredible world that I feel privileged to roleplay in. She has incredible maps and visuals matching the music and moods, which in turn match her descriptions and storytelling. She rolls with the characters present, never making me feel excluded or the only focus in the spotlight, but as a part of a large shared world. If you're a player that wants to smash obviously-evil thing with big stick, Zoey's games might not be for you. But if you want to engage in a rich setting and world and have to work out how to properly tell someone that their beloved spouse is cheating on them without causing all hell to break loose while also rescuing your friends from a burning speakeasy and still trying to find out information about your missing-in-action spouse and barely even notice that you have yet to roll initiative in six adventures because you're too engrossed? Join one of Zoey's games.
