Rule of Cool (RoC)
Reviews I've given (5)
I got the opportunity to join Ben's table for a one-shot Mork Borg dungeon crawl hosted on Discord. A fantastic little session with an engaging story, great pacing, lots of combat, a fair few laughs, and high lethality (our replacement character sheets were quickly required). Ben was very helpful with two Mork Borg newcomers, skillfully answering our questions whilst keeping things moving forward. Ben encouraged player creativity, exercised the 'rule of cool', adeptly described the dungeon adding nuggets of detail to colour each scene, and helped the players build some awesome encounters. I had a ton of fun and would definitely recommend Ben for your next session
Stephen is patient, super-helpful and has a deep understanding of the rules of Daggerheart. His terrific story telling, pacing, deep world building and descriptions bring the world to life, whilst demonstrating his craftsmanship and hard work behind the scenes. He takes the time to help players with learning the rules of the games and the mechanics of Roll20 virtual tabletop. Stephen is quick to respond to player questions in Discord. I'm looking forward to the next game already. Would highly recommend
Edoardo was really personable, and supportive for new players to Daggerheart. He set the atmosphere very well with immersive sounds and visuals through AlchemyRPG VTT. Overall a very fun session, a lovely homebrew one-shot with a first-rate mixture of combat and narrative storytelling. From burning forests and cursed objects, to taverns and well-matched fights, a great intro to the world of Daggerheart. Edoardo used the Rule of Cool, let players have fun and ran a free flowing creative game. Strongly recommend
Marissa is a talented and inclusive GM. I had the pleasure of playing in one of Marissa’s homebrew Daggerheart one shots. She clearly had put a ton of work into preparing a world for players to explore with deep lore and a rich tapestry of NPCs (all well voiced and acted). She has a knack for storytelling, crafting intricate plots and memorable characters. Marissa was able to balance roleplaying with game mechanics and encounters to produce a well-rounded experience. Many thanks
Thank you for running a great game, Greg. For my first dive into Daggerheart, Discord and Foundry VTT, you created a welcoming and encouraging table when the whole concept of getting back into TTRPGs for the first time in 28 years had felt overwhelming. You patiently provided clear explanations and guidance, which was immensely helpful in enhancing my understanding of the game. You clearly have a deep knowledge of Daggerheart and Foundry, yet allow for large amounts of character freedom and creativity, all whilst keep things fun and moving at a great pace. The voice work is fantastic BTW. Thank you again!
