He runs an expansive and unique world filled with challenging homebrew monsters and morally complex villains. If you’re looking for a challenge in combat, he’s absolutely the DM for you. But even if you’re new to D&D his deep knowledge make it easy to learn along the way. If everyone prefers easier combat he can adjust but he is completely capable of building very challenging encounters you have to use your wit in to have a chance of beating. The amount of homebrew content is incredibly impressive—especially the wide variety of plants with fun and quirky side effects, as well as item drops from the creatures you fight that you can use your own creativity with to try to create your own homebrew magic items. There's also tons of homebrew subclasses and races to test out. Between the challenging combats, richly developed npcs, mysterious world events to try to understand, and the homebrew items to test out you can easily find something you love and be able to do it.
Good at both more structured campaigns and more open world/you create your own story. He comes up with backgrounds and lore for all of the characters you get to discover as you go through the campaign, and has lore/background developed for tons of npcs, locations, history. He also uses a lot of homebrew rules, classes, items. Incredibly receptive to ideas as long as it’s fair to everyone in the campaign. Overall very excellent DM
