I've played several sessions with Fluid, who has created a homebrew/re-skinned version of "Lost Mine" called "Lost Mine of Fukudaisho," and I've thoroughly enjoyed myself so far. While I wasn't a complete novice to the system, we have several players who are, and Fluid has always been eager to teach them about the game. He allows everyone to play at their own pace and puts up with the shenanigans we all try to pull during the game (sorry, Fluid!) The production value of the games has always impressed me, featuring a custom landing screen, handouts, maps, and voice work. With his use of Foundry, the game always runs smoothly, and, more importantly, it is always fun. He has consistently struck a good balance between adhering to the rules and embracing the rule of cool. He doesn't hold back during combat, allowing the dice to determine the outcomes, but he also offers us a break every once in a while, which is always appreciated! If you're looking for an easy-going, knowledgeable, and friendly DM, Fluid is your guy.
I've played several sessions with Eternus as the GM in a Pathfinder 2e game, and I have to say that he is an excellent GM. He is very patient with system newbies like myself and has a deep knowledge of the rules. There have only been a few instances when he didn't know something off-hand, but his rulings were always fair and typically aligned with the official rules when we looked them up afterwards. Eternus effectively uses Foundry, incorporating both premade and custom maps, music, and effects to consistently immerse us in the game. While Foundry can be challenging to navigate, I believe he does a tremendous job managing it. Most importantly, he communicates clearly and concisely, not only about what is happening in the game but also regarding any updates outside of it. If there’s a scheduling change or if a player can’t make it, he promptly informs us, I have never worried that he would cancel a session unexpectedly or be late. Overall, I think Eternus is a fantastic GM. He is sociable and knowledgeable, and I always leave the table having had fun.
