About me

Primarily a videogamer but also play some boardgames. Reasonably new to DND and RPGs. I like trying one-shots for different systems and themes, no matter how weird or obscure, to understand the medium better and to see what's out there.

THis was my first time playing with Rob and my first time playing a Star Wars RPG. Rob explained the system and created a world with interesting characters and twists, all emerging from the dice rolls. He let us try things under the 'rule of cool' and gave bonuses on rolls too, but without making things too easy. He also does an excellent stormtrooper impersonation. I'd play with him again.

This was my first game with Marko and my first time playing a Vampire rpg. He brought the game to life with varied characters, created a fantastic sense of atmosphere and let me try things that felt cool, even if they (perhaps) weren't strictly in the rules. I'd play with him again.

This was my first game with Johnnie and my first time playing Alice is Missing. Johnnie took his time to introduce all the players to the system, making sure our questions were answered and we understood the interface. He took great pains to make sure we were aware that the game could be emotional beforehand and made sure that everyone was OK afterwards. It was a good game and I'd play with him again.

Reece - Panda Beard

This was my first time playing with Panda and my first time playing Pathfinder / Starfinder. It feels very complicated, but with Panda's help the adventure ticked along and the group was patient with my questions. He gave the world energy and atmosphere and allowed me to try cinematic things in a system I was unfamiliar with. I'm looking forward to the next session in the campaign.

This was my first time playing with Deirdre and my first time playing Pirate Borg. She took us through the character creation, taking the time to answer all our questions and making the whole process fun. The adventure itself was also good fun, with Deirdre setting the scene and doing a range of voices of main NPCs (and background characters), making everything seem alive and funny. If we wanted to do something dumb she'd find a way to make it happen thematically and practically. I'd play in her games again.
