The onboarding process was awesome, thoughtful and respectful. Although, a new GM, is very mature, has great skills as a GM, is very thorough, and his Session recaps were extremely well written, like reading a great fantasy novel.

Apparently another scam, signed up on Start Playing under the Heading "play today" however, I did find a game over 12 hours away, which I thought was long enough lead time to get Discord access, and a character built. Unfortunately, even up to game time, zero response from the GM. This was after two polite messages to ask for access and allow me to get set up. Start playing shows to game scheduled and running, but clearly they are not interested in a new player. At this point in time, no cash has been taken yet, but its still early.

Great guy, great GM, does nice work with the technology to provide realistic encounters, messaging etc.

The overall ambience of the game was incredible, sound, npc-voice, and music were top notch. My first session which I was only allowed to sit in on due to a lengthy onboarding process which was needed before anyone plays was required. During this session (4 Hours) I was astounded to see that about 75 percent of the session was the DM doing voice overs for a number of NPC's. Most of the dialog was between the DM and one other player. Everyone else had minimal interaction. There were zero encounters where the PC's actually engaged in a initiatve order. Throught-out the whole of the evening there were less than 10 to 12 total dice rolls. Further, I spent the next week trying to be available for the DM to do the onboarding and character gen to no avail. Twice he responded to me with escuses such as "I forgot I was working that day" and "we will have to do it at another time, to eventually saying that it would all be done by text. Well, not even that happened after a full week. I would not recommend this DM to anyone despite that fact his players greeted me with ambition, and told me how outgoing the DM was. I never saw it. The Discord server was very difficult as well, was not really user friendly for a new player.

Accepted my application to play, then took all my credit card numbers, refused to answer my PM for access to his server and discord channel, then disregarded my message asking to be dropped from his campaign because I wasnt getting access (which was refused by the Startplaying interface). Then despite my pleadings not to take any money, charge me for a session I dind't have any access too. Clearly a scam, be careful on this one.
