About me
New to D&D5E but hooked. Love theory-crafting character ideas and I suppose I had better say up-front that I am, and always have been a complete min/maxer. That said, I come up with an idea of a character and then min/max that and at almost 40, I'm fully aware that a broken character is neither fun to play or fun to play with (Phrasing?). Free most evenings from 20:00 and happy to pay for sessions.

Nug is a great DM and fully allows players to do what they want with character creation - That said, Nug balances the "do what you want" with the "that wouldn't happen"; which makes for a pretty balanced DM/ I have very little to say about his DM'ing style that would be negative. Nug is a boss DM and fully trusts the players. Playing in his games also leaves me with a feeling that he is genuinely running for the players, and doesn't impose restrictions or rules he thinks are for the benefit of the players (I.E. he doesn't "know what's best"), a genuine rarity in my D&D journey so far.
L is a quality DM... I hope that's all the information you need. If not, then games are always full of laughs and feel relaxed but the detail and effort L puts into his worldbuilding and storytelling always bring it back to moments of pure class. L is quite flexible with rules if they aid the fun but equally, is a stickler for technic ailments which really add to the challenge of each fight or encounter. His pace is also bang-on. I've never felt when playing the game is stagnating (and we have spent 10 games in a single, port town) and the balance between RP and combat (about 50/50) is well maintained throughout each session. Genuinely a top guy too.
Rob is a great DM. Brings lots of energy to the session. He always listens to "Can I do this?" questions from players and will more often than not try to find a way to incorporate these ideas into the game. The sessions are relaxed and often filled with light humour. Being new to 5e myself he is always willing to answer questions and, maybe due to the fact he is American, his "customer service" is always on-point (this is to say he never makes anyone feel stupid for asking questions). Having tried a number of DM's (most of them cheaper), I feel Rob is 100% worth the fee and while the sessions feel relaxed and friendly, he also leaves me with no doubt he takes it seriously and sessions are ran with a high degree of professionalism. I'll be sticking with Rob for as long as he continues to DM.
