About me
I like playing several games and I don't get obsessed about rules mechanics -but I do want to roll some dice. Different systems work for different themes. The best player brings a good attitude to the game. I've been in several campaigns that took months, but I also enjoy one-shots. Started with Red Box D&D and SW West End games in the 80s.

Mina put a lot of time and effort into the scenario and it really showed. I totally appreciated the unique characters and voices. Very rich details. I really felt like I my character was in New Orleans, 1907. And French accents are difficult to do. One thing that really impressed me was her ability to surprise me: I won’t spoil it for you, so I will just say that I didn’t really know what I was dealing with until it was right there in front of me.
Alex does well with experienced and new gamers alike. He is patient and positive and expertly manages the narrative and game mechanics. He brings warmth and humor into every game, and he has a real sense of the theme(s) of the game -which is why a lot of us jump down into these rabbit holes, right? I've played several sessions with Alex as well as a one shot with a completely different group of people (who had never played Star Trek Adventures). Great GM.
Dean really knows his stuff! Our game of Star Trek Adventures (STA) was very fun and fast-paced. Dean is an expert on the rules and Star Trek lore. And that game requires expertise in both. He takes pains to ensure that play is fair and balanced, and he has a strong code of conduct to which all players must abide. It was very safe and enjoyable. As a new player, I'm a little shaky on the rules -especially combat. Dean helped me through all of that and we had a great play session. I will definitely be joining this weekly group of STA.
Trevor really brings his A-game to these gaming sessions: he's very articulate, very descriptive, and very enthusiastic about the adventure. It's clear that he puts his heart into prepping each gaming session. It was my first time playing Pulp Cthulhu (or any Cthulhu-type game for that matter). He was patient and kind and I felt like I was gaming with an old friend. Our game was voice-only and his reminded me of my favorite professor from college: cheerful, optimistic, smart and encouraging.
