About Dean
I'm an LBGTQ+ game master with over 15 years of running role playing games. I specialize in the horror genre, like chronicles of darkness, but also run lore centered D&D & super hero games. If you enjoy over the top action which has you spitting in the face of death, then you will enjoy my storytelling style. I like to compare the types of games I enjoy running to buffy the vampire slayer or supernatural. My favorite games to run are Chronicles of Darkness, Sword Chronicle, & Forgotten Realms 3.75(pathfinder 1e using the 3.5 setting) I am a full time game master as well, so even if I dont have a game listed you are interested in, I am free & open outside of those times for custom game requests.

I got started GMing...
My intro to RPGs, palladiums RIFTs. My first character was basically a post apocalyptic mad max version of he-man wielding a giant gold scimitar. I was hooked instantly & went on to create a New West campaign with some friends.
My 3 systems I'd bring to a desert island would be
Chronicles of darkness, pathfinder 1st edition(with all my 3rd edition forgotten realms content) & Sword Chronicle(A song of ice & fire the RPG). All solid great systems, with things I love about each, & all vastly different in style, scope, & role play to offer a ton of variety.
My favorite system of all Time is
Chronicles of darkness. I love the horror genre, growing up with all the scary movies of the 1980s & 1990s, & Chronicles just is the perfect system for a GM like me. World of Darkness is great for its wealth of lore, but chronicles is the ultimate toolkit for creating your own modern horror world
How Dean runs games
I focus heavily on story & character development. Humor is mixed in where it feels right but serious moments are given the gravity they require. I tend to focus on the moods & themes of a particular game, with heavy role play interjected between action, so you wont have to worry about slow sessions at all. I am big on focusing on the flavor of that game, be it the high octane over the top nature of RIFTs, the horror of Chronicles of Darkness, or the mythic fantasy flavor of the Forgotten Realms.
