I've only played 2 sessions with this GM and he's been great so far. This man defines the tags "rule of cool" and "allows for player creativity." He's given me quite a lot of creative freedom to play my character in a way that I think is fun while still managing to keep the tone of the setting (Call of Cthulhu) on point despite my shenanigans. He also has an incredible virtual setup on foundry that really helps us visualize the scenes with maps and organize our notes and progress with the group journal. Overall he is likely the most professional GM I've played with to date.
Honestly I wish I could select all the options for "What's great about your game master." Max really goes above and beyond in my opinion. He is far and away the best GM I've ever played with. In the sessions I've played with him so far, he's done an incredible job of giving each of the players and characters time in the spotlight as well as managing to broaden the perspective to focusing on the group as a whole rather than an individual character. It's also apparent that he read the characters backstories and remembers enough of them to weave them into the broader story that he's setting up for us. A photo of this man is what you'd likely find under the definition of rule of cool. I've come up with some insane ideas in our game that I think most GM's would shoot down immediately but Max just says cool, I can't wait to see if you can make it work. I cannot recommend Max enough as a GM if you ever get a chance to play in one of his games.
This GM is very patient and very good at explaining both the game rules and how to operate the systems he uses to present the games to his players. This is my first time playing with visual aids and it's being handled so well that I may struggle with theater of the mind in the future. Even after only one session I rate this GM very highly.
