The enthusiastic creative energy Steve brings to every session could be an infinite power source, it is a marvel to behold if you're lucky enough to play in one of his games. When you bring him a character he will cherish it like his own baby and find the perfect way to build the world and story around them. These campaigns have a very excellent collaborative vibe, like you're all composing music together. I've also never seen so many fantastically performed, engaging NPCs- and its not even close. A lot of DMs are only so-so at making characters you actually care about and/or loathe on the fly- Steve makes it look easy, to the point of it being impossible to tell which ones are improv and which were planned ahead of time. They're all very memorable! He uses great maps for fleshed out worlds, and combat that will challenge you without being too brutal. He rewards creativity and wants to bring it out in his players, so go wild!

Jared has such an awesome energy, they start every session excited, positive and invested in every player and character. Be prepared for some high-risk, high-reward tough battles, as they will really challenge your party to work together in some nail-biting fights against big baddies you won't be sure you're up to fighting until the moment you land the final blow. If you pull it off Jared will shower your party in rewards which feels awesome, high level gear, bonus feats, etc! We ended most sessions on a combat high or a cliffhanger, so they really know how to keep you engaged. They use really cool maps, macros and music which makes for smoother and artistically interesting games. Jared is also extremely approachable and friendly as a person, so you can feel safe and comfortable in their games if you have specific needs or anxieties about playing. I appreciated that very much!

Taylar is the best storyteller and DM I have ever had the joy of playing with, and it’s not even close. He expertly facilitates a game that feels like playing with family every week, where everyone’s creativity is encouraged and built upon, the ultimate “yes and” type of game. Characters build real relationships and grow over time, given ample chances to flex their strengths and face their weaknesses based on their unique stories. We mourn for each other during sad events, and pump our fists for each other during triumphant ones. The world is rich and full of jaw dropping discoveries EVERY SESSION, I usually end the game stewing over everything that’s happened and so excited for whatever is next. Taylar puts a lot of care into maintaining a comfortable table, mindful of people’s sensitivities or limits. It’s extremely good vibes, a respectful environment that is a joy to return to each week. I hope I get to for a long time to come!

After just one session, I am hooked and so excited for another! I had a blast playing with Jerin for my first ever StartPlaying game. During setup I had a lot of questions, and he was patient, kind and thorough with every answer I needed. When we started playing, he had fantastic and beautiful visuals as well as music ready to go. A three hour session felt closer to five in terms of content, as we got through so many interesting situations in one sitting, with tons of RP opportunity. As someone who loves the character roleplay and storytelling aspect of 5e, this campaign and DM style feels perfect for me. Jerin took all of our characters to heart and allowed us to fulfill our specific RP wants with natural professionalism that makes it look easy (when I know from experience it's not!!). I would absolutely recommend joining one of his campaigns if you love getting into character and having a good time bantering with others.
