Man where to start? I met Mike in a different game where he was a player. Even there I could tell he was something special. His story telling as a player was beautiful, so my expectations for him as a DM were already really high... And he far surpassed them. He set scenes with detailed accuracy, bounced between players to let everyone shine in the spotlight, and wove NPCs flawlessly into the story. Every character felt unique and distinct. Mike did an amazing job making each player character feel like they were a party of the story as well. We worked together closely to integrate who I was playing into the story even though it was only a one shot. Mike's knowledge of the rules is flawless. Even with that, he still allowed players to do things that didn't quite line up 100% as long as it made sense and was really cool. And one of my top favorite things is he made the game fun. Whether it was combat, RP, puzzle solving, even the PvP, it was all so much fun.

I wish I could choose more than just the options. Wonderful voices. Distinct characters and personalities. Each NPC felt alive and unique. The story was amusing and in depth, both silly and serious enough to be dangerous. So the characters were so vast and varying and the DM actively encouraged people to play what was fun. He was super knowledgeable about rules and how things worked but also allowed you to do stuff just cuz it was fun or cool. At least we could certainly try. Oh and the music was kickass.

Being allowed to creatively play my character, try things that might not work just for the fun of it, allowing us to do things that were cool just cuz they were cool but knowing the rules and when to stick to them, so many things. So many things I loved. Thank you so much for letting me play in your game, Evie.

I'm fairly new, only 7 months of play time, and this is the first time I've played in a sandbox world. And holy moly it was a blast! Been only one session so far but the world building Al did, the help he gave to my boyfriend (who is a first time player), the freedom we had to choose what we were doing and where we were going, the time for RP, everything was fantastic. I had an incredible time and loved the characters he created, the relationships between people... I really can't think of a downside. Some DMs are just that freaking awesome.

There are so many things I wish to add that I can't because I'm only allowed to choose 3. So let's start. Camerox has been a huge help for my first game of D&D. He has been welcoming and friendly, teaching me the ins and outs of Foundry (along with the rest of the group) as well as the game. He has a wealth of knowledge of the rules but also allows creativity and freedom for the players to stretch the boundaries a little bit if it is a cool idea. The world he builds, the lore and history, the religions, the civilizations and people, everything he does is fantastic. Each character is unique and special. He may not be a professional voice actor (who of us is?) but he brings a different voice, personality and set of quirks to each character that brings them to life. You know who is speaking simply to do their mannerisms, tone, and the way they speak and sound. The maps and music are phenomenal too. Every week seems to bring something new to the game, something he wanted to incorporate. Usually more than one thing. Its settling down a bit now that we have been playing a while but I'm always looking forward to what is next. We're even given plenty of opportunities to role play and develop our characters between missions. Its a war game and I cannot imagine how hard that may be to balance, combat and down time, but he does it. Its been so much fun getting to know the other characters, interacting with NPCs, and exploring different places throughout the world. He asks for feedback and has adjusted for even a little bit more opportunities for those things as well. Its been really great. I'm really happy to have been pointed toward him by a friend and for this to be my first ever campaign.
