Played my first one-shot with WitherAries in the "Keep Beside the Chasm" this past weekend. It was a 5-star experience! The dungeon setting a fantastic home brew setting with a seemingly unending storyline. This particular one-shot was the brainchild of one of the other players working with the DM to advance his character's storyline. Really like the "drop in" nature of these sequential one-shots. They flex to my calendar, which is perfect! Also, the group of players I got to meet were all excellent! Really nice to play with a fun, polite, and mature group of people who work together and support one another. Lastly, the DM did a great job of managing a three dimensional battlefield and brought the rule of cool into many scenes as we fought back the demon hoard and saw them falling from the heights to their doom. It was a blast and I'll be back soon!
Just finished my first one-shot with GM Sebastian. It was excellent! Great story line, challenging encounters, a few home-brew rules that make the game more engaging, and a good group of players returning from other one-shots / campaigns. I'll definitely be back for more.
GM Nym has it all in his name... Nym's a great GM!! I have completed two full WOTC campaigns and am now in my third campaign - a custom world where the players have a lot of agency to determine what happens next. I keep coming back because the games have an engaging storyline, heroic encounters, and we have fun! In game Nym strikes a great balance of battles, exploration, and role playing -- allowing the players to tilt the balance one direction or the other, but never letting it get way out of balance.
