Nyx is a phenomenal DM. There are many great aspects to their character. Nyx constantly strives for open, clear, and productive communication at the table. Their worldbuilding simultaneously allows for a tremendous amount of player freedom and engaging stories. My favorite though is a willingness to always say "yes" to what their players bring to the table. I'm constantly trying to do unusual and creative things, and Nyx always finds a way to say "yes", keep the game balanced, and fun for other players at the table. I could say more, but I think playing at Nyx's table is just better.
Being somewhat new to PF2e I was nervous about playing in a higher level campaign that had already been going for a while. Skoom did a wonderful job of welcoming me into the group, helping me get everything set up, and talking through character stuff before the first session. At the table, I rarely heard Skoom say "no". He always prioritized fun for the players and found ways to make creative and/or unusual ideas work. Skoom is a chill DM who I can recommend to anyone looking to play PF2e whether as a beginner or a veteran player.
From the first session, I’ve been thrilled to be at Rob’s table. What struck me most was how real and alive the world feels: each character/creature we met has realistic motivations, our in-character choices matter, and our backstories were immediately relevant. Each session I have become more engaged in the story we are telling together. My experience so far has only been positive and I would encourage anyone reading this review to join one of Rob’s games. It’s been as good a D&D experience as I could hope for.
Since I joined Holly's table I have been constantly impressed at the quality of the game she runs. It was immediately apparent how much care she puts into her world, sessions, and players. I could go on and on about all the good things Holly brings to the table. However, I encourage you to simply join a game and experience it for yourself. For me, it has been as close to an ideal D&D experience as it gets. Truly wonderful.
