About me

Heya, Holly here. A decade ago my friends invited me around to play D&D for the first time. I had no clue what I was doing, but pieced together a paladin with a thirst for vengeance in half an hour and proceeded to have the best afternoon ever. I'm been roleplaying ever since. Now I spend more time as an ST than as a player, and that's just the way I like it. And whilst I've run a great many campaigns in a great many systems over the years, it's Vampire the Masquerade that I find I keep coming back to. One of those friends from the very beginning suggested I quit my dead-end call centre job and start rolling dice professionally and... well... here we are.

GM Style

For me, roleplay is where it's at. Specifically the sort of deep, emotional roleplay that connects to something beneath the surface. My proudest moments as an ST are when people are invested enough that they can't help but cry, or jump for joy, or get genuinely angry about the events of the unfolding story. Autonomy matters to me a lot. If you decide to kill the dragon by spending a week poisoning its food rather than fighting it, or if you decide to run for mayor, or if you decide to try and invent your own brand of magic, or anything else for that matter, I will absolutely help you do it. Even if it makes my life harder. Especially if it makes my life harder. I love doing voices, live off internal conflict and drama, and when the time is right will happily throw fights at the party that will leave every player on the edge of their seats and biting their nails. Go ahead and optimise your character as much as you like, I'll find a way to challenge you no matter what.
