As a player I loved dragonlance, it was just the right amount of action/adventure and the setting leaves a lot for the DM to incorporate players backstories. My favorite part was the battles, multiple large scale maps with all sorts of ways it can go wrong or right. If I could wish for anything to change I would wish that the dragons be more unique and not just mounts or bosses. Other than that I absolutely loved playing, the DM extended it to level 20 and I accomplished one of my life goals, max level!
Third 5 star review: after playing all the way from level 1 - 20 we've had a blast, character role play moments are somewhat rare but always rewarding and well executed. His voice acting is amazing and he does a great job setting the scenery and music. Combat is intense, balanced (sometimes he gets an evil look on his face), and rewarding. I especially enjoy his efforts to include our characters stories and his homebrew, and he occasionally allows us to use homebrews of our own as well. After the final game we checked in and everyone enjoyed themselves, Ill play his next DiA game, you should try his games too! Thank u Kevin, the Mayhem Brigade kicked some butt and saving the world is a good feeling to have every now and then.
Sebastian is great, ive played in 3 one shots and 1 campaign and every time i have fun. Whether its role play or combat he does a great job keeping up, being fair, allowing creativity and supporting people when they need help with something. He also asks character building questions at the beginning of sessions, which is something i think every DM should do now!
Damon has been probably the most invested and talented dm I've had so far. He obviously cares a lot about our experience and does a great job of showing that. Even the theatre of mind parts, which I would have thought would be boring, were great. The last battle I was in was huge and intense and looked like it took a lot of effort on his part to control. The players have back stories that are intricate and he does a wonderful job incorporating them too. I honestly strive to be a dm like him and he's given me a lot of inspiration from that. I've got a feeling that if he continues running games I'll join another of his one day. ♥️
I've played in Franky's feywild campaign for awhile now and have had an awesome experience, he puts a lot of effort into his worlds, puts thought into the motivations, backstories and personalities of NPC's and is great with new players like me joining a campaign halfway through. He rewards players for creativity and is all in all a great guy. As a new DM myself, he's given me much inspiration on the kind of DM I strive to be. The last session In this campaign ended on a satisfying note and if I had time I'd play with him again.
