About Franky Von
Hello! As you can tell by the number of games I have hosted, that I am not new to GMing and in fact have been doing it for 6 years now. Being a GM is an awesome experience where I get to shape a narrative with a group of people in a fun and exciting way. For me personally, creating a welcoming environment for new players and veterans alike, where they start as strangers, and then enjoy each other's company while telling a story together, is unmatched.

My favorite system of all Time is
Mothership! Its rules light and narrative first. It is a system where you are really able to put in a little and get out a lot. "High Score" is one of my favorite game mechanics ever.
When I'm not running games I'm...
probably playing video games like Deep Rock Galactic or Sea of Thieves. I also play a lot of Blood on the Clocktower.
I got started GMing...
one night when I got an unexpected text from a high school friend to come DM for him and some friends. I had never played and neither had any of them. We dove into the abyss together. It was an absolute blast!
How Franky Von runs games
My GM style lets narrative and fun take precedent in all my games, as my favorite part of being a DM is when a player asks me if they can do something outlandish and I get to tell them yes. Cool character moments, backstories, and flavored combat actions all make TTRPGs more than just a rule book with a set of PCs, it becomes an experience. During gameplay I bring fun voices for NPCs, fantastic puns (or groan worthy if you ask my players), visual assets for combat and narration, as well as an open, positive attitude that is player centered.

My games focus on...
Making sure that everyone at the table feels welcome and safe. Everyone has a turn to speak and everyone gets time to shine in the spotlight. Creating those spaces insure that no matter what game we are playing or who is at the table, we're set up to have a stellar session.
Rules are...
there to support the narrative. If a rule is getting in the way of a good story, an important moment, or having fun, then drop the rule. We're here to have fun and use our imaginations. Lets not put limits on that.
When it comes to voices
I love to try out new voices for characters. The new voices don't always land, but it sure does make for memorable characters and moments. There are quite a few good voices in there too!
Franky Von's ideal table
My ideal table is a safe space created by both myself and my players that allows everyone to feel safe and heard. I enjoy creative players who aren't afraid to think outside of the box or bend the rules to get the result that they want. Especially if their idea doesn't fit neatly into the rules.

I love it when a player
says "I have a dumb idea" - This gets my attention and I will bend over backwards to make that dumb idea a reality if it makes sense within the story.
If you're into ___, you're going to love my table
puns. They are everywhere and I'll never stop making them!
My perfect party mix is
everyone playing the character that they want to play. I don't think that anyone should ever play a cleric because "we need a healer" If you want to play the fourth barbarian in a party, please do! I'll make encounters that are balanced around the party composition. Play what makes you happy!
