I've played a bunch of games with Neil, both with Neil as the GM and Neil as a roleplayer. When running a game, Neil is very up front about inclusivity and safety tools. He is a big fan of setting the scene and building a narrative together. He is superb about knowing as many rules as needed, and being pragmatic when there's any level of uncertainty. What I like best about roleplaying with Neil though is that he's always going to be the player's advocate, he doesn't often say 'no', but he's prepared to do so if needed. He's always happy to explain why and offer alternatives. He's approachable, friendly and calm. Great for beginners, or established players looking for a change of pace. Highly recommended, especially if Neil is running a game you've never played before. He's a great GM, he's consistent in his delivery and he is a lot of fun.
I'm very excited to see Bruce is here. I have been lucky enough to have Bruce as my GM many times at conventions and in organised play sessions running games such as Dungeon Crawl Classics and Mothership. Bruce is a true player's GM, he does a great job at making newcomers feel welcome to the table and he is there to not only tell a good story but also deliver the tone and feel of the game he is running. He enables players to feel like they're really part of the action and demonstrates a willingness for players to succeed. He really encourages everyone at the table to make their characters shine. On a more personal note, Bruce is a really great pillar of the roleplaying, and particularly Dungeon Crawl Classics, community and offers great insight and advice on how to be a better player, and a better GM. He is a gleaming example of humility and I consider him a great rolemodel for my own GMing at the table. I have learned so much from him over the years and can't recommend his games highly enough.
