I'm an experienced Games Master who first played D&D in the 80's, which seems a very long time ago now! I'm passionate about the gaming hobby and have run hundreds of games at home, in gaming stores, at conventions and online. I move easily between genres and can run fantasy, weird west, wartime adventure stories, sci fi and horror games with very little prep. I am also a published writer. I've authored an adventure for Small Niche Games' "WW2: Operation Whitebox RPG", am a contributing writer for Stiff Whiskers Press' weird west RPG "Weird Frontiers" and have contributed material to several Goodman Games publications including an adventure for the "Xcrawl Classics RPG" Please Note: I do not use 'AI' tools to create any material used in my online or in person games. This includes but is not limited to the artwork and written material on this site.

How Bruce runs games

I'm on a mission to to recreate the magic that happens in person around the table online! My preferred GM style is a mixture of 'theatre of the mind' and visual cues. I've used everything from simple hand drawn maps to large set pieces with miniatures and dungeon tiles but when running online I like to keep things simple and focus on the players with a minimal amount of distraction from the tools we use to play. I enjoy a mixture of roleplay, problem solving and combat enounters but tailor each game to the player's interests and experience level. I am comfortable running games online using a variety of platforms, but I'm really in my element when playing face to face!
