Greetings travellers! I am your GM, Yanas. I used to be a fish biology researcher, now turned full-time Pro-GM. I've been running fifth-edition Dungeons and Dragons for about a decade, and I have run both official adventures and my home-brew campaign for my friends for many years. I was also part of a local gaming club where I ran games for different people weekly. I am not a professional voice actor, but I dabble with voices and impressions. I also enjoy dabbling with home-brew game design and world-building. Due to my research background, I like to add a bit of science fun where possible. I also watch actual plays, such as Critical Role, Dimension 20, and Acquisitions Inc., so we can geek out together about that.

GM style

My GM philosophy is that I am in charge of everyone having fun, and everyone having fun as a group is the most important thing. A 3-4 hour session is a lot of time to take out of a busy adult's schedule, and I treat that with respect. Player agency is my second priority. The whole draw of TTRPGs for me is that they allow for doing much more than what can be coded into a video game. So, I try my best to allow as much freedom as possible without breaking things. I try to emphasize all pillars of play to foster variety and enable every player's character to shine. I lean more toward a high-fantasy and light-hearted play style, mostly focusing on role-play and combat with some light puzzles and survivals thrown in there where appropriate. I enjoy social role-playing and using voices, but you shouldn't expect professional voice acting. On the creative side, I enjoy world-building and creating an immersive world for my players to live and breathe in. I also enjoy constantly testing and tinkering with new high-tech tools for TTRPGs to improve my skill set and player experience.
