How Turtle Wizard runs games
Do you love roleplay? So do I! I enjoy running character‑first scenes that invite players to lean in, make choices that matter, and feel the story between sessions. No one needs to be a pro actor or come with some incredibly detailed voice or persona, just the willingness to dip your toes into being a new, fantastical character! How about combat? When it matters, you can expect well-rounded battles as well. I run fights with clear stakes and satisfying mechanical depth that reward creative and simple solutions, especially for those cinematic moments that are the one in the million! And not only that, but ensuring the agency for the players to turn towards or away from a fight! This isn't a "all-or-nothing" kind of approach, run if the needs be and fight to survive another day adventurer! Exploration? Oh yeah? Who doesn't want to explore! There are so many things to discover in the worlds we dive into! And you and your fellow adventurers are given free reign to do as much (or as little) as you would like! The world shall truly move around you as you continue to shape it ... and even as it may begin to shape you!

At it's heart, these games we play are here to bring us joy! We all come here looking to get away from the monotony of our day-to-day and dive into a world that we couldn't experience anywhere else! The table is a place to feel relaxed and open with others while diving into a story that engages and interests us. Support your fellow players in this endeavor and know that you'll be with an adventuring group that does the same for you! We'll laugh, get caught up in the critical moments and cheer our to our hearts content after all is said and done and we are victorious! I especially welcome those who take a crack at more in-depth roleplaying! I've met some of the coolest people through our shared love of enhanced roleplaying and I'm always excited when someone takes the leap and tries to personify a character with a little extra! But regardless of all of this, I am seriously just so happy to have anyone and everyone who's willing to bring themselves to the table.
