About Brad
I have been adventuring in Dungeons & Dragons since 2007, guiding heroes through perilous dungeons, strange realms, and stories that linger long after the dice stop rolling. With nearly two decades at the table, I bring the instincts of a seasoned storyteller and the calm hand of a director shaping an unfolding narrative in real time. I began my adult life as a filmmaker, learning how to craft tension, pacing, character arcs, and cinematic moments. That background still shapes every session I run: battles feel dramatic, discoveries feel meaningful, and the world feels like a living story rather than a static game board. I have a PhD in the arts, deepening my understanding of narrative, performance, and collaborative creativity. The result is a style of Dungeon Mastering that blends theatrical storytelling, improvisation, and thoughtful worldbuilding with the unpredictability of the dice. Mechanics exist to support the story, not suffocate it. Clever ideas, bold risks, and heroic nonsense are welcome at his table. If a player comes up with something brilliant, absurd, or spectacular, chances are the answer will be yes. Whether you’re a brand-new adventurer or a veteran hero, mygames are designed to be welcoming, dramatic, and unforgettable.

How Brad runs games
I care less about perfectly simulating a rulebook and more about creating the kind of moments that players talk about years later. I lean heavily into roleplay and character-driven storytelling. Your character’s motivations, fears, flaws, and ambitions matter. NPCs remember what you do. The world reacts to your decisions. If you invest in your character, the story will invest right back. That said, when combat arrives, it means something. Fights are dramatic, purposeful, and often cinematic rather than endless grinds. I enjoy designing encounters where clever thinking, teamwork, and bold ideas matter just as much as numbers on a character sheet. At my table you can expect: • A strong narrative focus – the campaign grows from the characters and their choices • The Rule of Cool – if an idea is awesome, we will find a way to make it work • Cinematic scenes – moments that feel like they belong in a film or epic novel • Improvisation – the story adapts to the unexpected rather than forcing a preset path • A welcoming table – beginners and veterans alike can jump in comfortably My background in filmmaking and storytelling means I treat a campaign a bit like a collaborative series: you bring the heroes, I bring the world, and together we discover what kind of legend unfolds. Bring bold ideas, strange plans, and a willingness to lean into the adventure. The dice will handle the rest.

Brad's ideal table
Every table tells a different kind of story. Mine tends toward the kind that lingers. At my table, the focus is on collaborative storytelling, where player choices matter, character arcs evolve, and the world responds in meaningful ways. I run narrative-forward games with a strong sense of atmosphere, but I balance that with structure and pacing so sessions feel purposeful rather than meandering. Whether it’s political intrigue, quiet character moments, or high-stakes conflict, I aim to create a space where those beats can land with weight. The vibe is respectful, immersive, and player-driven. I value players who engage with the world, invest in their characters, and contribute to the shared fiction, whether that’s through roleplay, creative problem-solving, or simply being present and attentive. You don’t need to be a voice actor or a rules expert, but a willingness to participate and build alongside others goes a long way. My table tends to suit players who enjoy: – Story and character development over pure optimisation – Meaningful choices with real consequences – A balance of roleplay, exploration, and well-paced encounters – A safe, inclusive space where everyone gets time to shine It may be less ideal for players looking for: – Pure combat grinders or mechanics-first play – Disruptive or spotlight-dominating behaviour – Fully passive playstyles with minimal engagement Above all, I see the table as a shared creative space. My role is to guide, challenge, and respond—but the story belongs to all of us. If you enjoy games where your decisions shape the world, and where the table builds something memorable together, you’ll likely feel at home here.
