About me

Hi! My name is Aubrie and I'm a huge writing/story nerd! Videogames, movies, music, whatever it may be, I love when something tells a story! I do a lot of creative writing in my free time, I'm learning to garden, and I plan on getting into playing the electric guitar. My experience started when I helped a friend create a DnD club on our campus, and in exchange for being one of the executives of the club, they'd let me play in the clubs first campaign! Since my first session, I've been hooked on fantasy and TTRPG's incorporating a large amount of content surrounding them into my life. I've only ever heavily played 5e and DnD 2024, but I've dabbled with some Pathfinder and am open to exploring more systems as I continue to play! I began GMing when I was forced into having to fill in for a last minute call out by another GM during a one shot meeting for our club. While I was GMing, I noticed how easily calling on the spot was coming to me, and when the game ended I received great reviews from my party. I then went on to GM other one shots, and host my own homebrewed campaign for friends (on hiatus)! Over the past year or so, I've began to hone in on what makes a good GM and continually work to make myself the best GM I can be for my players!

GM Style

In my games, players can expect a focus on roleplay, storytelling, mystery, and horror! This of course isn't to say that combat will be nonexistent, but rather that when I DM, I love to explore the world with the players and engage in a roleplay heavy, overarching story which the experience is based around! I love using horror elements when describing villains, monsters, or uneasy characters as to strengthen the feeling of unease one should have when around that creature. While I do love telling a story, if players veer off they'll find I'm not one to always push them right back, but rather I like to wing some extra side content for them to truly allow for some free range on exactly what and where players go, before realigning with their original set of goals.
