About Thomas

Hi, I’m Tom! I’m the author of *The Halloween Academy* series, a co-owner of a film production studio in Hollywood, and an artist whose work has appeared in RPG supplements for *Prowlers & Paragons* and *Supers RED*. I’ve been playing tabletop role-playing games since 1979, when I first discovered *Dungeons & Dragons* and *Villains and Vigilantes*. More than four decades later, I’m still passionate about creating memorable worlds and telling great stories. As a Game Master, I love building adventures where player choices matter, characters have room to grow and everyone at the table gets a chance to help shape the story. Whether the game becomes heroic, dramatic, mysterious, hilarious... or, as usually happens, a little bit of everything. My goal is to create an experience you’ll still be talking about long after the session ends.

How Thomas runs games

My GM style leans heavily into cinematic storytelling, memorable characters, and collaborative world-building. I want every session to feel like an episode of an ongoing series, complete with dramatic moments, unexpected twists, humor, and meaningful character development. I enjoy giving NPCs distinct voices, personalities, and motivations, helping the world feel alive and giving players characters they’ll love, hate, distrust, or become strangely attached to. Combat is typically tactical, with positioning, teamwork, and creative problem-solving all playing an important role. I aim to keep encounters challenging and exciting without letting the mechanics overshadow the story. Creative ideas are encouraged, and I’m always willing to entertain an unconventional plan especially when it leads to a memorable scene. Most importantly, I believe the players are the heroes of the story. Your choices matter, your character’s background can shape the campaign, and your actions will have consequences within the world. I provide the setting, characters, and conflicts, but together we discover where the story ultimately goes.
