About Spenser

Hi there! I’m Spenser (he/him), a professional Game Master who specializes in dynamic, story-rich tabletop experiences for all kinds of adventurers. I bring creativity, flexibility, and a deep love of collaborative storytelling to every session—crafting worlds that feel alive and characters that truly matter. I’ve been running games for years and love blending immersive worldbuilding with player-driven chaos. Whether it’s your first session or your hundredth, my table is a welcoming and safe space—especially for queer, BIPOC, and neurodivergent players. Everyone deserves a seat at the table where they can be seen, heard, and celebrated. Expect engaging roleplay, evolving character arcs, thoughtful safety tools, and a balance of structure and spontaneity. If you’re ready to co-create something unforgettable, let’s roll.

How Spenser runs games

My GMing style adapts to the table, blending high-stakes drama with cozy, character-driven moments based on what the players are looking for. For longer campaigns, I use session zero to set the tone together; for one-shots or drop-in sessions, I set clear expectations in the game listing. I’m comfortable running anything from lighthearted slice-of-life adventures to grittier, thematic campaigns—especially ones that explore systems of power, decolonization, and the costs of resistance. I use rules as intended (RAI) with some house ruling when needed and prioritize flow at the table. If a rules question comes up mid-session, I’ll make a quick call in the moment and revisit the details afterward if needed. Combat is run on a grid when appropriate, but I often use theater of the mind for faster or smaller skirmishes. I enjoy tactical combat, but I keep it accessible with lots of narrative flair and flexibility—especially for roleplay-first players or those new to crunchier systems. I strive to make every table a safe and inclusive space, especially for queer, BIPOC, and neurodivergent players. I’m always open to feedback, and while I’m still refining my safety toolkit, I’m committed to making sure everyone feels welcome and supported—whether we’re laughing through downtime or navigating a dramatic turning point in the story.
