About Noah
My name is Noah, and I’m a storm giant sized nerd, I’ve been playing DnD since I was 14, and even though I haven’t run as many games as others in that time, any time I’ve played I’ve always been the designated DM. I love storytelling, and even before playing DnD, I loved to write and create stories myself. I’ve always been fascinated by anything medieval, and I’ve always found myself daydreaming when I was younger. DnD to me has always felt like the sweet spot in all those interests, and I’ve always been transfixed by the game and its lore.

I became a GM because
I love to write, I love to storytell, and I LOVE Worldbuilding. The idea of having an ever-evolving story based off of actions and character decisions has kept me hooked. You’re telling me that two different parties can go I to the same cave and have entirely different outcomes? Yes please!
I got started GMing...
I got started GMing after some buddies of mine in high school got together and we tried running our first game, and did it completely wrong, but had tons of fun. Ever since, I’ve been hooked on DnD, and have learnt more and more as both a GM and “knowledge keeper” of the game’s lore.
When I'm not running games I'm...
Researching dinosaurs or insects, and if I’m not doing that you can catch me either caring for my daughter, or making enclosures for said bugs.
How Noah runs games
I love story building. I love putting my characters in scenarios that challenge their PC’s physical and mental capabilities, and that over time pushes them into battling their inner demons, developing their story, and defining who they are. I will never demand them to do what I want them to, because what I want is for us to make the game memorable, have fun, and turn their character into the best they can be. I challenge them to think outside the box, step outside of the ordinary, and to do things abnormally.

I deal with rules issues by...
Discussing them as a group and coming to a common consensus. If no agreements, I will make final call. Everything will be in the name of fun.
I prep by
Researching and preparing scenarios, I treat my prep time like homework from school, only difference is I actually do my prep for DnD.
Rules are...
HAVE FUN!! More than anything!! Get creative, and get into it! No murderhobos, no horny bards, and no metagaming! Make the game fair and fun to play. PvP when both parties consent. I love house rules, feel free to bring up your house rules, and depending on what I think I’d be willing to Incorporate
Noah's ideal table
My table is very joke-friendly, we’re here to have fun and make memories. I expect my table to be serious when needed, otherwise bring in the goof troop. If it feels like you shouldn’t joke about it, don’t. Otherwise, no jokes are off-limits. Be friendly, sitting in silence and being serious isn’t fun nor memorable (I’ve had a few times where this was the case), in every aspect, have fun.

I think min/maxing...
Fun to an extent, if caveats or narrative reasonings are behind it, I’m all for it. Otherwise, it just feels like you’re trying to “beat” DnD. Not fun.
My perfect party mix is
A healer, a health sponge, and a jokester. Not necessarily joke character, just at least one person who can bring laughs as easily as the others can tank hits and bring heals.
