About Ariel

Hello! I'm Ariel. I've been GMing games for well over 9 years and running. Though, I haven't really started really investing myself in it until I've become cursed with the deadly Forever GM curse for my starting group. I've grown to have a lot of fun running games, stories, and prioritizing the rule of fun over the Rules as written approach. Whacky and Crazy ideas are always allowed to be attempted. I do not discriminate people for coming from different fandoms and accept them all equally. Be it Brony, Furry, scaley, Anime. Though I do advise not actively talking about them if some people are not comfortable with it. I started as a Roleplayer and specialize mostly in Text games. As I lack the ability's to put on a good show, but I try to make up for it with detailed/descriptive writing. I'm not perfect, or the best. But, I do immerse myself in the story and trying to make sure everyone is involved and occupied. While shining the spotlight at least once on every member of the party throughout the game and campaign.

How Ariel runs games

I put a lot of effort in adjusting the campaign to the characters created jointly by the players during session zero. If I am to run a module, I tend to change it up to add my own flair to it, while keeping the original story relatively intact. Making sure every player feels like they matter in the story. My writing style can vary from short and simple posts, to Literate and long replies to fit the group of players that I'm with. I normally prioritize More combat if players want it, or more story if they do not like combat. If nothing is chosen as a preference, I resort to simply going more story, but cause combat if it is appropriate to the scene.
