About Tell
Hey, I'm Tell. I've been a GM for about 4 years now. In that time I've run a few short campaigns. A 3 year long campaign that my players finished a few months ago. I've also run a few gimmicky one shots. Personally I draw on sources like fairy tales, myths and other stories as inspiration. I love cartoons, comics, power rangers, and fantasy books. But writing and inventing worlds is my favorite thing. I love world building and I love adding little details that make a world real.

I got started GMing...
because it was the only way I could actually play, every time I tried to play we just never got to the start of the game. so I started a campaign with 2 friends and was able to grow it to 4 pretty quickly and was able to successfully play the game and learn along the way
My favorite shows/movies are
currently Ninjago, Miraculous, Power Rangers and MLP My favorite Movie is Alice in Wonderland.
How Tell runs games
Overall I focus on immersive storytelling with combat mixed in but I can tailor the ratios depending on what the group is interested in. Mainly I want to tell stories that are connected to my players so they leave each session wanting more. This includes trying to incorporate my players backstories, interesting puzzles, and a moderate amount of combat that aligns with my players preferences to the situation the players have found themselves in.

I deal with rules issues by...
a situational basis. Sometimes I will make a rule call for a narrative reason, but at the end of the day I will determine how the rules work this time and later I will figure out the actual intent behind them and fix them for the next time they're used
I once ran a session...
Where one of my players had been kidnapped the session before and was brainwashed. I hid them in my house so the rest of the party didn't know that he was there but he could here what was happening up until the dramatic reveal. He was later healed with true loves kiss and a 98 on a d100 luck roll
Tell's ideal table
My table is fun, it is a place were jokes can turn canon if I like them and everyone makes a part of the story. My table is a place where we call each other by our character names and we are fully engaged in the role play. My table is not a place to kill everyone you see.

I love it when a player
engages with my story, when I get notes about how a character would react or their backstory in between sessions. Getting the feedback that you are excited about the game is truly amazing
I think metagaming...
is unavoidable, but not as much fun. There is a true joy to knowing something is a trap and walking into it anyways because it is something your character who wouldn't have outside knowledge is great. Just pretend my guys its more fun when your clueless
