About me

Hi everyone! I'm Dan and I love great stories. I've played all kinds of tabletop games over the years and I especially love the magic that roleplaying games create. I loved learning different systems and genres while exploring RPGs, which meant I usually became the GM! Fast forward, and I am now a grown-up (allegedly!) and have spent over a decade as a coach and facilitator for teams. In recent years I've dived back into the tabletop world, and I discovered that my love for facilitation and collaboration made me enjoy and excel at being a GM that much more. So come and play some games with me - I can promise you action, empathy and games that have all my love and experience poured into them!

GM Style

I love to play games where I can co-create the worlds with my players. As a player, I get frustrated when I have no agency, so I like to encourage my players to imagine the details and think of interesting scenarios and outcomes that move our story forward. I love voices and improvisation, but understand it's not everyone's cup of tea! As long as my players feel like they can represent and express their character, then it's good with me! I prefer systems that focus on the stories, and like them to feel cinematic, with a good variety of action, humour and quieter passages. I create campaigns that have a narrative arc, making sure I hit the right touchpoints for my players' characters. Within that arc, I try to create freedom, energy and agency so that the story moves forward and the players feel a sense of direction and purpose. While I try and be a font of all rules knowledge - there is only so much one can fit in a brain, and I am always open to learning and collaborating with my players. Ultimately the story, fairness and fun are most important, and I try to arbitrate for those things first and foremost.
