About Sonder
Hi, I'm Sonder, I use she/her pronouns, and I've been playing and GM-ing TTRPGs for about 5 years, and designing them for about 2. I love collaborative storytelling and greatly enjoy tailoring narratives for characters. I've run a variety of TTRPGs spanning various systems and genres such as Monster of the Week, Masks, The Between, Absurdia, and a variety of other PbtAs. I'm also familiar with similar systems such as FitD, Belonging Outside Belonging, Rooted in Trophy, and the Resistance system. I would be more than happy to tailor any of these games to suit your table's needs! I'm also open to running any other rules-light TTRPGs of a similar nature, so feel free to reach out to me anytime!

When I'm not running games I'm...
cycling through what some might call way too many hobbies. (They're wrong. If anything, there aren't enough hobbies.)
How Sonder runs games
I believe in immersive roleplay and involved narratives. I try to tailor the setting and story to include the player characters' backstories and work with/for their personalities. I also enjoy worldbuilding and customizing settings (and, on occassion, mechanics) on the go as necessary. I ensure my table is a safe place by using Lines and Veils, the X-Card, and the Open-Door Policy as safety tools.

My games focus on...
roleplaying and inter-character interactions. I prefer to present the Players with a sandbox world when possible and let them explore - important and/or relevant details can be introduced anywhere, after all!
Rules are...
guidelines. I prefer to stick to them when possible, but will bend them if something cool happens or they don't quite fit the situation at hand. I also tend to add homebrew rules (such as system-appropriate Inspiration equivalents) when necessary for specific settings and/or tables.
Sonder's ideal table
I tend to run roleplay- and collaboration-heavy games so my table is a good fit for anyone that enjoys doing roleplay and being imaginative. Aside from being welcoming, the vibe of my table depends on the game being run, but unless required I try to keep the mood comfortable and relatively light-hearted.

I love it when a player
comes up with something unexpected and imaginative.
I think metagaming...
is alright so long as it's not in direct opposition to what the character in question might usually do.
