About sixter
I like my games how I like my tea: hot, honest, and better with company. And like my tea, I take my worldbuilding steeped in history. I've been playing and discovering worlds for fifteen years now, care to join me for your next adventure? I'm an Italian GM, bilingual in English and Italian, with EU & US-friendly playing times (benefits of being a night owl!) "The first maps were story maps" has stuck with me since my first books on cartography — the one that started it all was Homer's Odyssey — and it's become something of a mantra, both as a player and as a GM: a tabletop session is a story, after all, and the world it's set in shapes, and is shaped by, the people living in it. I started as a player on narrative-focused forum RPGs before joining my first Pathfinder 1e session and having the immense luck of living an adventure from level 1 to level 20, mythic tiers included. Since then I've run long campaigns mainly in Pathfinder, D&D 5e, and Daggerheart, with detours into everything from horror to pulp along the way. I've sat behind the screen for seven lucky years now, and nobody's complained yet.

I became a GM because
Not so long ago, girls weren't always welcome at the table. I was lucky to have friends who eagerly made space for me as a beginner — so I built tables of my own, where I strive to give that same safety, and where all characters get the stage they deserve.
When I'm not running games I'm...
Most likely visiting museums and art exhibitions, buried in a good fantasy or weird lit book, or gathering with friends for video games and board game nights. And every once in a while, you'll find me on the other side of the screen too — happily being the weird player at somebody else's table.
How sixter runs games
At my table: 🪶 Story first, dice second: the mechanics are there to serve the moment, not the other way around. 🎭 Theater-of-the-mind: Most of a session lives in conversation, tension and narration. When it's time to fight, maps and VTT aid visually. 💻 Cameras off, voice on usually — I'd rather hear your character than watch you wrangle your webcam. ✨ My only caveat at the table is: respect the story. Mine, yours, and the others'. I will care about your character and what YOU, as a player, care about your character. I will strive to make the world we play in feel lived in and vivid, and for the story you crafted to matter. I discuss what players are comfortable with during a session 0 and with surveys, as I do not shy away from violence, injustice and human issues - which can be as frightening as monsters and often not so easy to slay. Although you'll find out, soon enough, that I like tales of freedom fighters, swashbucklers, daring passions and broken curses. Characters are free to question, embrace, or push back against the world they face. I will welcome your choices and enjoy the consequences and party banter that follows with a cup of tea and a smile.

If my games were Movies they'd be directed by...
Guy Ritchie. Hopefully with soundtracks half as good as the ones he gets — 'King Arthur', anyone? And Gore Verbinski, please! There is nothing I would love more than a Pirates of the Caribbean-style banter between players, with epic scenarios and grandiose music.
My favorite trope is...
Ragtag Bunch of Misfits, of course!
When it comes to voices
I absoutely adore making voices and will definitely strive for mannerism and accents where I can!
sixter's ideal table
Tonally, we'll often sit somewhere between weighty and playful. I will often laugh at jokes and off-hand comments, as long as they don't disrupt someone else's scene. I strive for a comfortable and creative vibe that welcomes anyone — from beginner to experienced. I don't shy away from gore and horror (in fact, I adore them) — but I will balance them with warmth, if needed, and avoid them altogether if the table isn't on board. The world will react to what you do even when you're not looking. I'll happily go off-script if you find a thread worth pulling, or flesh out an NPC you become absurdly attached to so that you can continue to meet him. I'm also happy to do soft romance scenes as long as the whole table is comfortable with them (or role them offscreen via text!). You'll fit well if you like collaborative worldbuilding, care about the story even when it's not your scene, and are comfortable with the occasional dirty joke. My only real rule is respect: for the story, for each other, and for the table. 🚫 You'll probably not fit as well if you're looking for a purely combat-focused dungeon crawl, or if you'd rather the DM just run things without player input shaping the world. That's a valid way to play — just not how I run games.

I love it when a player
Takes notes! I've been the note-taker for 15 years. I have been the blessing and the curse of many a DM for keeping check of story threads or figuring out BBEGs early.
I think metagaming...
Has a place, but needs to be clearly set within the group's space. Sometimes a player knowing the rules and adventure paths beforehand will help running smoother sessions, but I will not accept "that monster shouldn't have x or y by the book" or "that NPC should act like that".
My table is not the place for...
People who can't share the spotlight, or who need to hijack someone else's. This includes hiding behind 'but this is what my character would do' to justify chaotic stupid decisions. Strive to always elevate each other at the table, and you'll have an amazing time.
