About Rob Wes
Being a Game Master is one of my favorite joys in this life! Bringing a story to full bloom and detail while we tell tales is always a treat. I am a trained actor with close to 2 decades of experience on stage and film. I use those skills to make silly little voices and craft narratives that make you beam...or make your skin crawl. I have been playing TTRPG's since 2019, and I have been a Dungeon Master/Game Master since I learned that was the best way to keep game night alive. I fell in love with being a Game Master because I can't get enough of melding minds with my players, designing sick traps for them to bust or fall to. Its a riot!

I became a GM because
I wanted to see games happen. Now I'm addicted and I can't stop.
The three words my players would use to describe me are...
Chaotic, Captivating, Mythical
When I'm not running games I'm...
running around the world. Either acting, rapping, or yelling at the government.
How Rob Wes runs games
I love to roleplay and watch that build into diverse and engaging combat situations. I love challenging players to think diversely, but I have no interest in stopping the story. I have a habit of incorporating timers irl to be able to move things along. I also don't like to let combat last multiple sessions, so expect me to keep it lite, with a mixing of some gimmicks to keep the combats engaging. I enjoy building a world with my players. As a DM, I specialize in making memorable characters and settings, so be ready for roleplaying and a lot of skill checks!

I deal with rules issues by...
honoring them and being willing to revamp. A number of the rules for the game are there to keep things equal for all the players. The rule of cool doesn't mean throw out the rulebook. It means honor roleplay when players try to utilize the book for unique solutions.
I once ran a session...
For 8 people who had never played Dungeons & Dragons before.
My favorite trope is...
an adventurer's guild or a tavern for the party to use as a base of operation. Even if I need to find a way for that thing to travel with you!
Rob Wes's ideal table
My ideal table is composed of players who are willing to think out of the box to problem solve, and are willing to collaborate at times and hog the spotlight when they feel comfortable. I think it would be a table where I talk as little as possible, only to describe the scenery or introduce a new character, and acknowledge the occasional Difficulty Check, of course. Players who are creative and willing to share the creativity with others, while being respectful of the time we have all dedicated to play this silly little game.

If you're into ___, you're going to love my table
high-powered villains, derelict do-gooders, and the drums revolution
I love it when a player
comes up with a backstory on the spot. It makes my heart sing when a player who has had their whole character build and story planned goes "oh man, but that seems really cool!" and changes their class!
My table is not the place for...
hate speech.
